Can the Shelvin Mack experiment please end?

I see a bit of DWill in Mack's game....

Both not really known as knock down point guards from 3. DWill can hit it but hardly consistent.

Last 4 years DWill 3P%: 38%, 37%, 37% and 35%
36% over career, plus/minus 3%
67th on all time 3 pointers made at age 31

Would you like to revise your post on consistency?

Double LMAO. Your boy Hayward is basically the Jazz's PG, he leads the team in Assists per game. Guess how many double digit assist games he's had this season?...ZERO. Last season?...ZERO Yeah, real easy.

But he isn't the Jazz's PG. The Jazz's PGs can throw the ball to Hayward. Hayward can't pass the ball to himself and get an assist.

Assists aren't hard to get? Do you understand the value behind the numbers that you look at? Luck into it? Do you watch basketball, play basketball, or understand what an assist Is and why it's a valuable stat? You might as well argue that the world is flat. At least you would have an argument that others shared with you. (May have been 500 years ago) but you would have an argument.

Is what Mack is doing sustainable?? Did the wiz and Hawks not know what they really had?? He's gone from third string to traded to starter and has flirted with triple doubles the last three games. If he continues this, and all goes well with Exum Neto, we might be able to trade him to a pg starved team, or just have the best backup in the league.

What he's doing reminds me mor of Kyle Lowry. He came up in my mind a few days ago. He played for Memphis and Houston, and didn't become a starter till his sixth year. Also interesting is that he hovered around 25 to 27% from three till the year he became a full time starter. He couldn't shoot worth a damn, now he's thought of as a great shooter, someone u don't leave at the three point line. Look at Mack now, and he's all of a sudden hitting shots from all over the place.

I just see some similarities between the two. How amaizing would it be to see Mack have a similar rise. And to think we got him for a second round pick alone. We keep hearing about how DL needs to be fired, but look at all of the amaizing moves DL has made.

I don't think he is this good, but he's definitely better than his percentage showed in Atlanta. It's really hard to come off the bench with inconsistent minutes or in garbage time after sitting all night and shoot.

I just hope he is more consistent than Trey. Trey would give these glimmers and then go to **** for 10 games. He doesn't need to be Kyle Lowry and I don't really think he has anywhere near that ability. Giving us anything at the pg position is fantastic.

No... I think we keep him. Neto is fine, but who knows what Exum will give us next year. We need his stability. I don't think we'd get enough for him to make it worth trading him.

the player's Cy likes get assists by taking on the whole defense and basically putting the ball in the basket for them... The guys he doesn't like inflate their stats by giving the ball to great shooters who do all the work.

I didn't think Lowry had anywhere near this ability either. Not saying Mack will end up being as good, just pointing out some similarities in how their careers started. It's hard to ignore completely what Mack is starting to do.

I think Lowry always had more athleticism and talent. I think a lot of his issues were attitude driven. I do think Mack could end up being much better than initially thought. i think he's also big enough to play in some two pg sets.

Can the Beanclown experiment please end? He ever made a good point in his entire embarrassing existence?

He's been sneaky impressive over the last few weeks. It's not like he's out there blowing by guys with impressive athleticism or flashy plays. He's been a cold, calculated assassin making the right plays, shooting really well, and playing good defense. I would argue that the starting PG spot is Mack's to lose if he continues to play like this. Exum should have his hands full getting up to speed, and continuing to grow and learn the offense. Hopefully we have this "problem".

SM has been a major stat filler, the boy can play. He isn't flashy but he gets the job done. He has been more productive than Neto or Burke by far! He will become even more comfortable with the offense ... His assists number keep increasing with every game.

Don't really know why you would trade him or for who? PG is set to be our weakest position for a long time and Mack looks to be better than Burke, Neto, and Exum for the foreseeable future. The fact the Jazz got him as he is just entering his prime (age 25) is a huge plus as well.

I did say if all goes well with Exum in my defense.
