So it seems like there are legitimately people on this board who are not understanding that Hayward getting a max deal would be in no way similar to arenas, Marbury, kirilenko, etc.
Hayward will make far less than those guys on a percentage basis due to the new cba, and the number of years he will be signing for is at 4 instead of 6 or 7 like the true "albatross" contracts.
Not only will Hayward's contract (if he really gets the max) be for less money, but the cap will be rising annually, which is being downplayed by some here, but is actually a significant factor in his next contract.
I am not advocating for Hayward to get maxed, but the arguments going on in this thread are ridiculous.
