I understand perfectly well that ^this^ is the facile argument you were trying to put forward. I told you it wouldn't work -- that it was a bad equivalence to draw -- but you don't seem to get that.

I told you there was no way to reduce the things I'm most proud about to any equivalence with money. Money didn't motivate them, and any money that was involved in making them come to pass was not transacted directly on their behalf.

Besides, it doesn't matter if someone believes their pride in their money is equivalent to my pride in these things. When did "belief" get to take center stage? These are differences that cannot be equilibrated, even by a motivational speaker.

I'll go further..... anybody who confuses pride (or MEANING, as you attempted to do earlier) with money is a part of the problem that you seem to be rallying against in this thread.

And yet you still fail to acknowledge the point I tried to make. A point that even the most daft of my nurses would have grasped.

Did you just compare what a living person was born as to changes in the government that would effect everyone?

True, we can do either at this stage in the game, but if you don't see the difference there you have no respect for an evolving social climate.

nope. striking out big time today, eh?

a person is born with a SEX. It's a cultural process that results in GENDER. And Patriarchy is a part of the central problem addressed in this thread, no?

your point is obvious, numbnuts. two brains cells can put it together. It's a stupid point because it's WRONG.

When you see a claim that an idea is working do you automatically jump on the bandwagon without a second's worth of critical thought or reflection?

You'll notice I never said I'm against funding higher education. In fact I think Obama's free state college tuition is a no brainer. What I disagree with is the patsy assed, soft, pampered and spoiled Americans who cry about it non-stop and act like America is going to fall to pieces tomorrow if we don't throw a trillion dollars at it. College is not that difficult. At all. My friends who didn't go to college spent more money on beer and weed than my tuition, books, & fees combined.

Our system is so simple that any couple who decides to have a two income household can easily clear $150,000-200k/yr combined. And that's in low cost Utah.

My most humble apologies if I made it seem that free education was a sword to die on, and that it was going to be the end of the world if we don't implement it. That was not my intent at all.

I've made it to a degree of success I can be proud of within the system. From nothing, to where I'm at now. But that can not, and will not stop me from trying to show that there are other ways of life than ours. Not all of them will be complete crap because it's not an American idea.

But a question for you... why does Naos know you so well? What have you two been doing behind the scenes, you old dog you!? *wink wink*

Poor inefficient sharing is better than no sharing. And there are literally examples of country after country after country AFTER country that take a 'lion's share' and distribute it with the efficiency that an American government could only dream of. Begs the question-- how?

1. Cut our millitary and let the world fall apart.

2. Cut our corporate tax rate to Germany's level and watch US companies gobble up the economies of Germany, Japan, Italy, France, UK, etc. They fall apart.

3. Treat our healthcare workers like overworked dogs. Pay then little to nothing and let the lines from under-staffing flow out the doors.

4. Engaging currency war and other modern mercantilistic wars on Germany, Japan, and China to even the playing field. The export dependent nations always lose those battles.

We can do it like the rest of the world but we have higher moral ideals than pegging happiness to wealth while forgetting all that really matters.

basically ElRoachO is desperate for a diversion.

can someone upload a .gif of Dala's and Roach's heads exploding? Will rep.

wtf? Are you really hung up on the fact that I haven't rehearsed your stupid point back to you? You're really losing it, man.... ****.

No. I told you what I was going to do to help our disagreement, you were having none of it. Instead, you did every little thing you could think of NOT to get on the same page.

your page was stupid. I knew it was. I told you I knew it was. I told you it wasn't worth going there (still think that). You demanded I answer your questions. I played along. You finally crafted your stupid argument.

And, throughout, you've been pointing to MY LIMITATIONS as a reason that you weren't able "to help". How many hours a day do you spend on the high horse?

for the record, it's pretty hard to help when you're being asked "to stop." For someone that claims to know what change is possible in the social world, I think you should probably make note of this basic fact.

Are you sure you didn't just go the direction your previous post rallied against?

Stupid or not, it would help an argument. It has helped many argument before this one, and after this one. When there is a communications breakdown you always go back to the lowest common denominator.

I misrated your intellect... I didn't know I'd be going down to less than 1. I didn't even know it could go that low.

There is no pre-established "lowest common denominator". You're pushing YOUR lowest common denominator and insulting anybody who doesn't get in line. Stupidity never helps arguments. It makes them worse. You're mistaking peoples silence after your "method" as calmness... it's really their brains melting.

you should be embarrassed that you don't get this.
