I was impressed this year with Hoods defense. He finally is coming around to being a decent defender. Now if he can stay healthy and find consistency shooting I will be happy. Although I would also be okay with trading him if it gets us a solid player.
I do think this is something we need to explore...If Gordon wants to go to Boston, will Utah work out a similar trade with Boston as the Clips did with Houston. Gordon would have to opt-in and then be traded. Who would you want from the Celtics? What about Hayward and Favors for Horford and some of Boston's Picks?
If we're going to trade assets for a star, instead of trading for George as a potential one-year rental I would much rather trade for someone who's inked for a few years like Lillard.
Can't believe I actually agree with green. Maybe Hood hasn't improved much because of injuries. Although he has added the nice pull up in the lane to his game. Still though, just as inconsistent as always. And sorry, I don't see much defense. Jazz are better with Ingles as the starter. I'm perfectly ok with Mitchell taking Hood's minutes as backup SG.Why do people think Hood will suddenly get better? He is the same player he was as a rookie, he is the same player he was as a second year player, he is the same player as he was last year. He hasn't improved. He's gotten worse if anything.
He is not the player you think he is. He is maybe a slightly better CJ Miles. Nothing more. He is a nice bench player, a poor starter.
Don't be scared. Be proud of who you are. IF Utah traded for George and IF we won 60+ games, he'd resign. He ain't walking away from that to go to LA.
Hell, all "sources" out there have said George values winning over LA and if traded to Houston or Boston he'd resign if they were winning.
Go win. People like winners.
Speaking of licking lips why is DL not traded for Iguadala yet? Everone knows GS is goin to lose him an Jazz could acquire him with a verbal agreement to sign for slightly more then his market value (somewhere around 3/30). Than they pick up Boris option, sign Hayward an Teodosic an they have a competitive team.
Hill, Teodo, Exum
Hayward, Hood/Burks
Iggy, Hayward, Ingles
Favors, Ingles, JJ, Boris
Gobert, Whithey, Faves
Two first rookies with the 2nd rounder on a two way contract.
That is the deepest team in NBA we would crush the regular season.
