Coach Corbin Speaks

thats not good

Also i dont think it is happening, I say burks is destroying murphy in practices. See how easy it is to just make something up?

Corbin said some really good things about murphy, but never said anything about murphy outplaying burks.

Coach Corbin has a lot of balls in his court. It's up to him to decide who goes where, who plays what, and what is playing when the team comes back to the locker room to watch footage of previous games and players.

I can sleep better tonight knowing Kevin Murphy is just destroying Burks in practice.

Its going to be interesting to see/read about those 2. I really like what the Jazz have done this offseason , got ride of clunkers for some shooters. I hated watching Harris with his running pull up 3... just terrible. I'd sit there and wonder how did that go in? I like Burks but the dude needs to be humbled and not be so terrible when running the point. I just wish the season would start already :)

The great news though Its Murphy against Burks......not Bell or Miles.

Some people are so uncomfortable with the unknown. It's the logical conclusion. We all know Burks couldn't stick Yao Ming on the perimeter. And Burks and Murphy probably match up against each other every once in awhile. So what we know is that Murphy was playing well, and the highest probability guess of exactly what was happening is that he stuck 10 on Burks from the mid-range before Burks even finished licking his lips.

But hey, feel free to make a topic about how awesome Murphy is next week when he ends up as our leading scorer in the OSL. Just know that we already knew.

I was never hating on murphy but you presented your statement that murphy was abusing burks like it was fact, when in actuallity you have now idea and are making an assumption.(or as you put it a logical conclusion).

Murphy outplaying burks is a guess and that is all it is. You see the roster for the summer league practices is HUGE. Something like 15 players so there are alot of options for different players to be guarding murphy. So it is not a "logical conclusion" to say it was burks guarding murphy when he was playing well. It could have been a number of different players.

In other words burks guarding murphy while murphy played well is just a guess.
And is it my guess that you are just trolling. Good luck with that..... fish on!

And wasn't Burks supposed to play PG during the summer league? You'd think that's what he's doing in practice. If so, it's likely Burks and Ahearn are matched up. Murphy is probably going against some no-name UFA.

Legends are made in the summer league. And then they're buried in Europe or the D-league.

I should set the record straight. Burks and Murphy were on the same team and it was Carroll who Murphy was destroying. But I'm not sure it's fair because Murphy has extra incentive - he hates people with long hair. He went extra hard at Carroll and the result is that Carroll considered quitting basketball and some reports were saying he was so humiliated he may quit life. Pray for Demarre Carroll.

I heard Murphy showed up at the Olympic team practice and humiliated Lebron so bad that Nike paid the NBA 100 million dollars to destroy all evidence and send him to Orlando.

That is not true. We have a signed affidavit from Murphy that proves it never happened. You'll be hearing from our lawyers.

I think the problem with our offense is that Ty relied too heavily on Jefferson.
Corbin is just carrying on the Sloan tradition of not insisting on defense from his big men--which is OK to do in the cases of Millsap and Malone but counterproductive in the cases of Boozer and Fat Al.

Wrong. Sloan played Boozer because he was the best he had. I guarantee you if Sloan had Favors and Boozer, Favors would not be coming off the bench or only playing 20 mins a game.

As much as it pains me we will likely run the same basic flex next year, Hayward and Marvin should be a better tandem than Hayward and Bell. But that's assuming Hayward cuts better as a 2nd year starter. Nobody could be worse than Bell so Marvin's an improvement there as well. Mid range off screens, though, it's a push.

What scares me is we're starting an entire 1-2-3 that can't drive. Hopefully we'll see development/renaissance, but you never want to start a 1-2-3 where nobody can create their own offense. The flex might mitigate that problem regular season, but we all saw what happens in the post season with it.

Wrong. Boozer and Okur could do no wrong. Sloan was terrible in that aspect, just like Ty.

We may have not had a Favors behind Boozer, but there were times when anyone could have came in and defended better than Boozer. Tom thibideau has no problem using Boozer in only certain situations

Who is better? Taj Gibson or Paul Millsap?
