Real shame AD can't play Rudy tonight and run him off the court for stealing that DPOY.
There is absolutely no damn jazz in Utah and I’m still pissed that we didn’t name our team the Latter Day Saints and negotiate a trade for our name. No damn way in hell the mormans would want their church associated with NOLA.
With that said, pelicans has grown on me.
Second night of a back to back. Final game of 4 game home stand. Unfavorable matchup against well rested opponent. Not a lot of things starting off in our favor. This is the first night of a 6 game gauntlet so lets see what we are made of.
This matchup should be fun, Spida is brilliant on offense. Hopefully the rest of the offense loosens up so Niko can work.
This slow pace is what scares me so much about playing the Jazz in the playoffs.
So I guess rudy just gets to camp in the lane lol
Gobert is absolutely destroying us. Jesus.
I hate to say it, but this is where it'd be really nice to have a healthy Cousins.
Pels have to push the pace tonight to try and neutralize Gobert's defense in the paint. Also they cannot let Utah's shooters be open like they did vs the Nets last night. Utah so far has looked like they've struggled with turnovers, so hopefully upping the pace and getting Elf and Jrue to hound Utah's ball-handlers will create TO's and easy transition baskets.
The size difference between Gobert and everyone else is absurd. I'd try to put Okafor in, and see how he does defending him.
Rudy's defensive numbers and block totals are impacted by the fact that he's allowed to live within 2 feet of the basket at all times.
Utah is dictating everything.
If I've said it once, I've said it 1000 times. Gobert is the most overhyped shotblocker I've ever seen.
Gobert is so big a goofy looking there is no excuse for losing sight of him......yet we do.
Is there a Greek god of layups we've somehow offended? How do we get back into their favor?
Outrebounded 24-16 against the 27th rebounding team in the league.
Utah has to be the most boring team to watch.

I guess Utah brought their own Refs from Salt Lake City tonight.
I'm excited for this game. I honestly don't think the Jazz are capable of scoring at the pace that we would like to play, but the last two games have been a lot uglier than the first two with teams playing more physical styles of ball. I'm interested to see who's the Jazz approach the matchup, but think our guys have too much juice for them. Pels get another close one and move to 5-0: 124-118 good guys.

Well to be fair if we were playing anyone but Utah it would be closer. AD is the only one who can match with Gobert
Pels need some good luck here, the jazz are cohesive and dangerous.

I don't think an AD-less squad is equipped to come back down 15 at half.
We could if Utah loses it's 3 point shot, we can keep Gobert in control (somehow; not sure with who) in the second half, AND we shoot like 70%, sure, but I'm having doubts.
Still undefeated with AD so whatever. I can live with this L.

Gobert is the worst possible matchup without AD in there, I can't imagine how this changes unless we can get him in foul trouble...and these refs are making sure that won't happen
Well he has 0 fouls so he ain't getting in foul trouble. I know that Okafor is supposedly not a good defender but surely at least put him in so Gobert is matched up for height... he's just jumping over Niko and Randle
We gotta play Okafor or Diallo more to see if they can stop this lanky clown

And Rubio sucks, too. But I have to admit I love Donovan Mitchell; he is probably my favorite non-Pel player. Dude is special.

We Were due a loss didn’t want it to come to the Utah Jazz no lie I’m very salty they wouldn’t give us our name back the bench did a wonderful job tonight on to next one can’t win them
Cant win em all. Utah is a quality opponent. Cant let Rubio and Gobert give you that much smoke offensively
Awesome first quarter and excited to see the bench get within 8. Really could use that Solo upgrade soon though. Too much Gobert and too many open threes for the Jazz. Hoping for better play on the road trip.
Went to the game. I'm just glad they scored a 100 points so I could get free fries from Canes
