Congrats to Dennis Lindsey

Punch Bowl Re-Filler
The professional tank...the front office tank. Call it what you want but tonight was a perfect example. Double-doubles by Kanter and Favors, with Hayward just missing a triple-double. And a very good showing by Burks (except at the FT line). The Core4 accounted for 80% of the points, 77% of the rebounds and 70% of the assists for the team. The other six players gave Utah just 17 pts. Have to credit this loss to Lindsey. Develop the young core whilst maintaining the high pick. Kudos, my man.

We couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. Great showings from the C4, and two very close, entertaining losses (one to our arch tank-rival of the West).

These players will grow a lot, and as bad a Burke has been, he is easily an upgrade. This team might end up winning quite a few games.

So far so good on the season. Just like Portland last year - a talented group of starters with a **** bench that can't build a lead or erase a deficit. Like someone else mentioned in another thread, we'll win at a higher rate once Burke and Rush get back, but until then...let's keep it close and get the core some crunch time/close game experience.

It's still so much fun to see these guys getting 25-30 minutes+ per night!

All we need is a decent pass first point guard and a few guys showing up on the bench and we have a decent team

And for those who said Hayward wasn't clutch...what a fantastic 3. Sure, Bledsoe came right back to win it. But it was solid defense. He just rose up and hit a tough shot with a hand in his face. Kind of wish the Jazz had traded for him. But if it would have required Burks, as was rumored, then definitely not. Burks has been quite the surprise. But why can he hit such difficult shots and be so bad on his FT's?

Ya that is really my only knock on Burks...

He has shown tonight that he can hit an outside shot...

If he improves his FT% to 80+ he will be special!!!

Go Burks!!!!!

I have no idea why he can't hit his free throws. He shot 80% in college and its not like the college FT line is shorter. He leaves 3-4 points at the line every game it seems like.
