I'm in the L.A. area and generally people here are freaking out. My company cancelled all travel. Our customers cancelled all physical contact and visits. Everybody only bumping elbows, no hand shaking allowed. Lots of people working from home. No toilet paper in the stores because, you know, if people get sick then toilet paper will stop being produced or something. Bottled water sold out everywhere. It's insane. People preparing for the Apocalypse.

Norcal… non-Bay Area... only semi-panic here. I'm a little freaked out because I have 4 kids in three different schools... protecting them is always my biggest concern. Its one of those things should you be the weirdo who is overly panicked and pulls them out of stuff... or do you just go about your life normally. Basically decided if this think comes to my town our whole house is getting it and pulling kids out of everything likely wouldn't even prevent it.
 
Got an email from the cruise line today saying that if we don't cancel then we get a $200 onboard credit.
So at least there's that.
Also got one from Delta explaining their cleaning methods and their use of HEPA filter etc.

Basically, I think we will all feel stupid in 6 months... either because we all dead or because we were overly dramatic. Doesn't feel like a lot of in between.

My sister in law said her mom (and elderly grandpa) get another cruise for free if they go on their cruise they booked. She was ecstatic... feels like grandpa is a goner for sure... she didn't hesitate to take em up on the offer.

I never been a cruise fan so I wouldn't go... I also probably wouldn't leave the country right now.
 
Was checking out at Sprouts a couple nights ago. Sprouts is like the organic, overpriced, hippy grocery store in case you didn't know. Just happens to be the closest store to my house. The lady in front of my plops a box of some type of herbal tea up on the register.

"This cures the coronavirus" she says to the casheir.

He tries to ignore her so she repeats it.

He says "I heard you. I'm just skeptical."

"So you don't believe me?"

"No"

She leaves a little disheartened that conversation didn't go as she expected but still confident in this amazing tea.

Weird *** people out there.

What a wacko... everyone knows only essential oils can cure that ****.

Miami to half moon cay (Bahamas) to Amber Cove (Dominican republic) to grant Turk (Turks and Caicos). 6 nights.
Gonna stay one night in Miami before and after the cruise too.

Went from 6 cases to 11 in NJ today!

By the way, I was researching the day by day growth in Italy to that in the US. We seem to be about 12 days behind Italy. That would mean we would be at ~9,000 cases nationally in 12 days. The next week is gonna be quite telling.

Have them go to school. It’s essentially not affecting kids.
