Yep, and it won't take long at all. I expect Rudy to replace Favors at the 10-minute mark in the first quarter.

Edit: Oops, I answered the poll question and not the OP. "Starting lineup?" --- maybe when Favors retires.

I heard that Gobert was taking off his pads, growing a pair And trying to man up. He is also developing a go to move and 16 counters.

Thank heavens there is a game in less than 24 hours.

No. I think Gobert is good. But not good, or fast enough to cover the PnR. We saw how it was with big Al. And I don't think Kanter is all that quick himself on defense. So as of now Favors is our best defender. So no this won't happen.

Al just didn't want to play defense. He's LAZY and UNWILLING. Don't even start comparing Gobert to him. Gobert is ACTIVE on the defensive end, we saw evidence of that in both the Summer League and in the scrimmage.

If Derrick Favors asks for more money then Larry Sanders ya....

Rudy Gobert is like a hard working Hasheem Thabeet who cares. I don't know how Gobert goes 24 in one draft and Thabeet goes number 2 another.

Well Alex Len went 5th in the 2013 draft and I guess what he has over Gobert are:

1. Len played in college so he is a known quantity

2. Len seems to have the offensive repertoire that Gobert currently lacks

3. Smart player on both ends of the floor

=====================

To be honest with you - if you're not really looking for significant scoring from your Center (except for Alley hoops and put back dunks), then Gobert could potentially be your guy in terms of size, defensive instinct, energy, toughness, etc.

Gobert will never be as good as Favors. You are talking about the Kanter-Favors dreamteam for years and complaining about their playing time, bashing AL Jefferon, Tyrone Corbin and Paul Millsap for it. And just after seeing an skinny 7.1 Big Man, who plays a solid summerleague and scrimmage match, you will give that up for it ?

Pleas guys stay classy and stop beeing childish !!!

---------------------------------------------

Gobert never has the potential Favors has, we are not talking about an 16 year old right now even if he is looking like one. We are talking about a player who is in the same Age as Kanter (a few months older i think) and just one year younger than Favors. Favors could be a Dwight Howard light, with a better Jumpshot and with Kanter it could be the best BIG-MAN dou in the game.

I don't think Gobert will replace Favors but if the position is vacant I think he would do just fine.

I think Favors is going to ask for a lot to stay in this market. LA needs a quality big and if Favors fells he can land that spot, we're in trouble. Our best bet might be to sign and trade him. Maybe we could pick up a quality 1,2 or 3 and a couple draft picks to sweeten the deal.

Nah, even right now, I'd prefer a Gobert & Kanter front court.

- Size

- Legit Pivot/Center in Gobert

- Defense/Offense combo

If Favors doesn't improve offensively by the end of the season, I'd say trade him before the deadline for a chance at a top #5 pick in '14 draft.

A lot of people will think I'm nuts, but I agree with this. The only problem is nobody in the lottery will be trading their pick this year. If the All Star break came around and Favors was still struggling offensively (and Burke too), I would consider a trade w/ ATL consisting of Favors for Dennis Schroeder, their '14 pick, and some second rounders.

It's such a dream, but I would love to see a lineup of:

Schroeder
Hayward
Wiggins or Parker (I dream big)
Kanter
Gobert

^ that would be an incredibly hard team to beat, much less get a shot off on.

Here's a scenario. Favors hears the doorbell, and trips over Boozer's bag on the way to the door. Gets hurt. We need someone to start in his place. Who is it?

1- Gobert
2- Evans
3- Locke
4- Machado
5- Biedrins
6- Corbin

Well, which one do you go with?

hotttnickkk hadn't thought of this scenario, and he thanks you for this detective clue.

I think I remember Lindsey talking about this bag in his weekly interview. It was a few weeks ago.

I'm picking Locke. Look at that leprechaun laugh maniacally at the idea:

Holy **** lol^

Locke, you weird ***.

What would your face look like if someone took a picture of you taking a growler? Just let it out is my motto. Locke hadn't had a BM in four days, so I say what's wrong with a little passion.
