When I went to Utah I fell in love with living there. In Oakland everything was fast-paced and you gotta stay on your toes.

Then you go to somewhere like Utah with all these nice people, it was just completely different so I just appreciated that part of it.

The people there saw the good in me and wanted to help me. So I was like, “Man if I go play for the Jazz then I wouldn’t have to leave.”
.

Jazz management thought it was better idea to not tank and instead go get "playoff experience".

As you can see, that paid off nicely.

that ****ing coin flip. And the fact that Portland got that Lillard pick for the corpse of Gerald Wallace

**** the Blazers

Us missing out on the opportunity to get Dame didn't come down to us not tanking, it came down to GS tanking and then like dal said us losing the coinflip. I really think had we gotten that pick we would've pushed hard to try to move and get him.

and also like he said getting the 6th pick for frickin Gerald Wallace was one of the worst trades in NBA history.

Yup there were reports that the Jazz agonized over watching Lillard rise in draft stock because they had followed him his entire career and had every desire to draft him when he declared for the NBA draft.

I don't see Lillard ever leaving Portland. The rap song was written from his perspective of being a senior in Ogden. I see Lillard as very "loyal" person and I think he stays in Portland his entire career.
