Until they have an official trade thread you'll just have to read them as the come. This was brought up at work and mt friend and I discussed this...

Jazz trade Jefferson to gsw

Gsw trades monte Ellis to Orlando

Orlando trades Ryan Anderson and JJ reddick to Utah

Why do people insist we trade 20 and 10 capable players for mediocre players?? I would much rather trade him go to a failing team for a pick. Ya sure you get better shooters, but Redick is paid highly and your taking min from Burks because Jazz obviously give min based on pay. Ryan Anderson can't play 5 so now we have Kanter and Favors to play to play 5. Neither which are ready to contribute offensively at the level Al does.

I promise you now. That Al Jefferson won't get traded. He is crucial to helping the development of our young guys post moves. He is a great guy, and is mentoring them. He is always telling Kanter and Favors that they are the future of this team. A guy like him is building their confidence and needs to stay.

I dont think jeffryson is going anywhere. Its going to be millsap. I like millsap better but i think the orginization looks at jefferson like they can work with him and make him a team player. And he is taller and probably less tradeable than millsap. And they like that jefferson says he wants to be here

I'm not sure why you thought this was a good idea. No thanks.

I get the idea

Get 2 shooters
Get 2 expiring contracts
Free up time for either favors or kanter to play the 5
Get rid of the monetary commitment to pay Jeffersons huge sum next year

Would I do it? Probably. I'm even a Jeffy supporter, but the way Ty uses him, and the way his teammates play off him is actually starting to annoy me. And seeing the young bigs with less 15 mpg isn't helping our cause any. The log jam at the 2/3 would be concerning, but maybe it'd force cj to the bench...

Meh...I don't like that Jefferson trade. My rule is that if you don't love the trade, you don't do it. Trades have quite an effect on team chemistry and with the way the locker room is right now, I would only ruin that for a really really good trade.

I do want Sap or Jefferson out or to get less minutes. Favors and Kanter are superior to them in pretty much everything but offense....lets see....
Defensively, length-wise, and rebounding wise, Favors and Kanter have advantage.

The reason I proposed this is that the Orlando wants Ellis but gsw doesn't want what Orlando has. I like reddick and Anderson figure they would be great additions to the roster. Anderson is shooting almost 50% from 3. He would be perfect in a line up with kanter. would pull the other big away from the lane so kanter can bull his way to the hoop. Reddick is just a dead eye shooter that's what we need. Jazz still have holes at 3 an 1 but every where else is solid

Pg - draft pick, free agent
Sg - burks, reddick
Sf - hayward, draft pick
Pf - millsap, Anderson, Evans
C - favors, kanter

That is the beginning of a very solid team. It has defenders, shooters, rebounders, athletism.

We potentially lose too much in that proposed deal. Why not do as ESPN.com suggests and trade Al Jefferson for Monta Ellis? We do need a scorer...

Because our 20/10 guy plays little to no defense and is an inefficient scorer. Last 3 games I am pretty sure he has more shots than points. That is terrible for anybody. It is really terrible for a big guy.

He actually let Haywood blow by him on the way to the basket today.

Agreed. Also, I don't think orlando would do this trade, their system consists of 4 shooters + Dwight Howard. and losing best 2 for a player who is playing the same position with J-Rich? Hell no.

I actually like it. Ryan Andersons numbers aren't far off Jeffersons. Plus he's like 4 years younger.

I would do this in a heartbeat. We get 2 GREAT shooters and get rid of Al. Anderson has a solid chance to win most improved player this year. He is a real solid player. I would even argue that replacing Al with Anderson would not be a downgrade. Throw in Reddick and it's a nobrainer. Crazy thing is GSW would do this. They desperately want a big man and have been rumored to be shopping Ellis forever. Now Orlando on the other hand, not sure if thy would do it. But if they get desperate enough I could see them doing it as a last resort to try to please Howard. Definitely one of the better trade proposals I've read.

A 20/10 guy who gives up 20/10 on a nightly basis and takes away minutes from our future frontcourt is worth keeping around? Kanter is our future 5. Ryan Anderson would give this team exactly what it needs.. a great shooter. If we let Howard and CJ go, there will be plenty of minutes for Burks, regardless of how many minutes Reddick gets.

I am sure that Orlando would want more but cj and Howard are there for chips and so are draft picks. Gsw would probably need to throw in one of their bigs but those are the trade pieces to make salaries work.

Id do it. We would just need to get rid of Miles, in order to make room for JJ.

I doubt GSW would trade AJ for Ellis straight up.

Commit everyone who wouldn't trade AJ for Anderson and Reddick.
