What's new

D'Angelo Russell

- Rubio has a EFG% of 45% while shooting 11 shots per game. Russell has a EFG% of 49.6% while shooting 17 shots per game.
- Rubio gets to shoot wide freaking open shots. Russell does not.
- Rubio plays on a better team than Brooklyn yet he still struggles offensively.
- Russell gets more assists while having less turnovers than Rubio.

Let me emphasize, Rubio is the worst statistical starter on our team and he gets to shoot wide open shots. In our offense, Russell would have a much, much easier time scoring and facilitating.
If the team continues improving and if Rubio is one of the main reasons to reach the playoffs this year ( as was the last year) i expect Rubio to sign with another team because it's clear you only see the mistakes and not the good impact that he has on the team. Anyway,ok,continue with your rickyout campaign. Good luck

The cap hold isn't really that prohibitive, Jazz can do their due diligence and if they think there's a better fit that they can get at PG than Rubio then they just waive his cap hold and sign the FA, otherwise they keep the cap hold and extend Rubio if they wish.

Yes and no... if they are working on a different position of need and also want to retain Rubio it gets goofy. I also don’t think he will sit there and wait for us to see if we can find an upgrade before settling on him... he may still be there but it’s obviously a bit of a dance.

Yes I was talking about him in college. He has become a solid NBA player. His road hasn't been straight to NBA either. He had multiple G League stints, stints overseas, was cut by multiple teams. A player that dominates college don't normally take that route. Again what do I know, I only attended games live at the Coors Event Center and didn't watch it on my 10 tv setup like PGAB. So what do I know... CU has a big who before he was hurt pre season was being scouted by the NBA and would classify as a n under the radar player and that's Dallas Walton. I'm sure PGAB remembers the game he had last year versus number one pick Ayton. Seven footer with springs and the frame to be a solid center in the NBA for years to come. From reports I have heard from people who work on the Buffs staff is Walton has improved his jump shot to the three point line last summer. Tad Boyle has put a few players into the league. He a solid college coach.

How many teams want/need Rubio as a PG? He's clearly not the type you sign if you're a rebuilding team. And not a whole lot of playoff teams want a PG who is so inconsistent - and often just bad - as a shooter. I'll be surprised if he gets an offer above the MLE.
