What's new

David Locke twits about Pau Gasol.

The Lakers have been serious about moving Gasol for several years, given the right deal. However, if I were LA I would hang on to him now that Nash is coming to town. He will make Gasol a much better player.

He is softer than Boozer..... NO. And Boozer was charmin soft

He sure looked softer than Boozer for 3 straight playoff exits. The thought of a Favors/Gasol frontcourt is amazing, but with that extra year at 19 mil I'd be a little hesitant. Still if it could be Al Jeff/Raja for Gasol straight up I would take it. Then we're pretty committed salary wise next year, but we'll still have our flexibility back the next year to sign our young guys.

Sounds good on paper, but isn't he really better as a PF? I've read where Favors does NOT want to play C. If both true, we'd have a MAJOR logjam at PF, or a couple of unhappy C's...
Does Favors have a line in his contract stipulating that he gets to choose the position that he plays?

Why are fans proposing all these scenarios where the players get to decide what happens?

We're all worried that Millsap is gonna be mad about coming off the bench, and now this.

The best approach is that players be played where they can most contribute to the team, ven if it isn't where they can be most productive. And they like it.

They have millions of reasons (per year) to like it.

Can you imagine Al and Bynum together?

Laker fans feel the same about Bynum as we do about Al. They dont hate him as much, but they think he is a ball stopper.

Gasol has his negatives but adding him to the team drastically upgrades BB IQ and passing over Al.

I'd certainly do it.

PG: Mo
SG: Gordo
SF: Marvin
PF: Favors
C: Gasol

Sap, Burks, Watson, Enes off the bench. 10-12 emerge accordingly.

...filthy.

Anyone who wouldn't trade Al for Pau straight up is on ****ing acid.

You do it and don't even blink.

I normally struggle agreeing with you but not this time. Gasol even with his big payout next season is a huge upgrade and help for this team.

And I'm just now realizing how huge that starting lineup is. 2-5 go 6'8", 6'9", 6'10", 7'0".
