What's new

Dear Andris, YOU SUCK!

I'd watch a starting lineup of Hart, Bell, CJ, Biendrins, and a 50 year old Ostertag for 82 games if it landed us Wiggins.
I'd endure a starting linuep of Collins, Araujo, Giricek, Devin Brown, and a 70 year old Kelly Tripucka (with Ty Corbin as coach) for 82 games for Wiggins.

This last trade was just horrible.. now Corbin has the excuse to play the vets and make the lockeroom happy again
It's almost like they just gave up tring to find players to replace Al and Sap and threw us some scrubs or washed up vets from rival clubs

To me it doesn't matter if Biedrins can play or not. Lindsey wanted some vets with one year contracts so they can evaluate the young guys this year. This trade gave them 3 of them... plus the Jazz got 2 extra first round picks in the process. If doesn't matter if the vets they got can play or not. They just have to be a good locker room presence, help out the young guys, and provide some depth when needed. So it really doesn't matter if they're any good or not. This gives the FO the ability to evaluate the young guys and the flexibility to sign the ones they want to keep long term. Anything else positive we get from the vets we received from the trade is just a bonus.

You forgot the pgs--Milt Palacio starting alongside Jason Hart with Arroyo and his 23 seconds of mad dribbling skills.

On other thoughts: Biedrens has got to know he sucks. Being in GS and sucking would turn any man to vices as an escape. At this point he is so low there is no point in mocking him.

A new team, a new place could be good for him. It could be the redemption story of the year. I am always interested in people who overcome difficulties to achieve, who conquer vice or triumph in the face of adversity so I will watch Biedrens and hope he provides an interesting story.

I'm amazed that the locker room is worth $24 million .... you'd think any decent coach would take care of that.... we in all honestly got GSW scrubs .... is Biedrens going to be the new freethrow coach for our rookies?

Dear Andris,

If my dog had your face, I'd shave his butt and teach him to walk backwards. And he'd probably still make more free throws than you.

My understanding is there's a minimum amount each team has to spend each year (around 52 million), so we had to find some place to spend the money, but didn't want to commit to spending it for multiple years. Most of the comparable free agents have been signing for 3 or year deals. So they went with the deal where they could pick up 3 one year deals for some veterans, meet the minimum spending requirements, and pick up a couple first round picks in the process. Sounds like a win win win to me. It's all about managing the salary cap as they evaluate the young guys so they won't be handcuffed when it's time to sign the young guys long term.

You actually believe we traded for these players because of their locker room presence or because they are players this team wants on the court? They are expiring contracts that got us a couple first and a couple second round picks, cap space flexibility next year, and possible more assets if they are traded to a team at the trade deadline for cap space next year since they expire.
