I'm curious, if they both blow, how do you think we finish next year? Do we make the playoffs?

Do we even care about making the playoffs. I don't. I'd rather have a lottery pick (are there any decent white guys projected between 11-14?). Why sneak into the 7th/8th spot and get beaten up by LA, SA, OKC, etc.?

I don't want to earn a lottery pick. I'm not spending $200 a year on LP to watch a crappy team.

The thing about Koufos is he dramatically regressed from his rookie season. Not quite ready to give up on a 7-footer who can shoot the ball out to 20 feet, but if he doesn't show any development in his 3rd-year it's safe to consider him a bust.



If Utah doesn't resign Boozer and stands pat, Memo can return by December and we go into the season with a team of:
PG Williams Price Gaines
SG Matthews Miles
SF Kirilenko Hayward
PF Millsap AK/FA
C Okur/Koufos/Fesenko
I think we're in the 6-9 range in the West, and Deron's going to have to up his FG attempts and scoring average to around 24 ppg, which he's capable of doing. In addition to AK playing PF, in '05-06 we saw Memo could avg about 18ppg playing PF, as always the problem is how much is he going to give up at the other end.

I keep hearing on Koufos has the ability to make shots all the way out to 20 ft but I haven't seen any sign of him be a good outside shooter. I believe its one reason why he gets stuffed a lot because teams just pack it in and he drives into a wall of players. Koufos has a flat shot. He needs a little more arch on the ball. He needs to shoot thousands of shots this summer. He also needs to relax.

From what I saw in the playoffs, neither looked prepared to play big minutes let alone start. Especially Kosta, who couldn't get a shot off without being stuffed.

But Kosta was the answer to Gasol in the 08-09 playoffs!
