I dont know if I have ever made a gamethread comment relating to screen setting before but man Kessler did a great job of setting screens for shooters tonight. Very impressive. He was pretty awesome in every aspect of his role. Which is very typical.
I LOVE that he played 32 minutes tonight. That is right about how many I think he should play every night for a long time now.

Lauri in foul trouble after two bad calls on him. Didn't even touch the guy the last call.

Ya I thought coach should have challenged that second call on him. Though I think that is the type of challenge where if you win it, it results in a jump ball so you still might not even get the ball after winning the challenge so no biggie.

I know he has been a flamethrower from downtown past two months but he needs to not regress into too much of a spot up shooter espec when we run more touches through him earlier the season he delivered. One of the reason for this is KO is out. So the spacing is different with Kessler not shooting from mid or downtown.

One of his worst games as a jazzman. Strange to say in a game when he hits a three lol. I heard he headed to the locker room when he went out so maybe he is hurt.

I don’t know. I say we let him shoot as many as he wants especially with the great looks he’s getting and how well he’s been shooting it. 3 > 2.

Sexton is elite at going full speed but softly laying the ball off the glass. That’s really hard to do consistently.

I also think he is pretty elite at the mid range shot. Seems to almost never miss from like 10-15 feet or so.

That was pretty funny. He had a nice foot shuffle right before taking that horrible shot too that could have been a travel.

I just want to point out that the last few minutes of the 3rd and the first few minutes of the 4th is why Gay has good analytics sometimes. Sexton/Beasley/Kessler have carried us to a double digit lead and Gay will benefit just by being on the court with them but not contributing.

But gay missed a couple of those shots right to kessler for putbacks. How is that not contributing?

He’s really good on the curl and even back to the basket Let’s not turn him into Porzingis who looks like a decent player on the face of it, but nobody can win with him including the team we played tonight.

He’s been insanely efficient. The last 10 games he’s played he’s shot 59/105 (56.2%) from the field.

NAW has been awesome pretty much all year.

Agreed. Its a nice problem to have but Sexton vs NAW for minutes will be interesting as long as we have conley (could probably trade him much easier now that those two are playing so well)

For sure. I think sometimes he has settled for a three every now and then but damn he’s been ****ing hot from three lately. All year basically too.
