Dennis Lindsey on Talkin Sports

David James sits down with Dennis Lindsey and talks about Favors offseason workout plan, and plans for FA.
Full interview runs tonight at 10:35ish.

From the teasers--Lindsey wants Favors to get better at angles, and believes he can do that by playing alot of 1 on 1 basketball.

--Lindsey is not sure how summer will play out. He spoke of possibility of letting the young guys playing as a strategic move, and emphasised it would not be due to financial hardship. He said there was a good chance they could re-sign most or all their FAs.

I can't wait for the rest.

Hopefully Kanter & Favors can work out together, against each other, against the likes of Duncan or even the Gasol brothers, or even Hibbert. Or all of those guys.

Lindsey also needs to tell them - "Hey you guys are starting C and PF respectively next year, you better be ready once the season starts".

He said there was a good chance they could re-sign most or all their FAs.

Hey, Big Al.......

Rep to anyone who takes this poster and puts Corbin's face in the middle and Al, Paul, Mo and Randy around him.

I am sure he will tell us a lot and never say, "umm uhh no comment."

Yur right. Thats KOC's style. Lindsey talks like a politician. Flowery words, makes you feel good while he is saying it. Talks so you long that you forget the question he was supposed to be answering.

As long as Al isn't back (or any other roadblocks to progress and enemies to good basketball) I will be content with this offseason.

You are right too. I like what Lindsey says. At least I can tell he seeing some of the same things. Kevin says nothing when he talks. I can't tell if he even knows what he is doing. He might just be faking it this whole time. I don't really care to even hear another KOC interview, its just a complete waste of time. Which is B.S. He doesn't need to be so secretive about everything. He could give the fans more.

I like how David James spoke about the whole KOC fiasco. Lindsey is pretty damn boring. All I learned is that he doesn't like the "core 4" references.

I don't think it was boring at all, it was eye opening actually.

Lindsey opened up the possibility to "go young" and preserve cap for something "bigger".

I don't think I've ever heard KOC said he could "go young" - so to me that's pretty exciting.

You get all excited about going young do ya?

I especially liked that part in his interview where he talked about firing Ty Corbin and playing the young guys 30+ minutes next year. I sense that he's looking to move up into the draft too. Loved how he apologized to all of us for a wasted season in playing the vets so much and still missing out on the playoffs. What an awesome interview.

He really talked about that ? damn this guy wants to be a prophet...

I'm reading what you are saying and believe your are being truthful, but damn!! If I didn't didn't do a double look, and can't bring myself to believe someone in the jazz org. said that;)

So, the part where David brought up that Corbin's coaching style got better throughout the year; maybe that's encouraging? You don't have to be a Jazz fan, you can root for other teams you know.

(edit: and no, he wasn't being truthful, but you probably knew that)

Oh, forgot to bring this up; my takeaway:

PK is a prick. a total prick, one of these days DJ is going to launch himself at him and give him a beatdown. I know it's all an act but it just went on and on and on. I hate it when PK is by himself with DJ sick or on vacation, he has no idea what he's doing. His only shtick is to rail on DJ (who is so much better a personality on the radio and especially on tv).
