I finally got around to watching the Summit game, and I really liked what I saw. He didn't just go out there and have a fluke of a game on scoring, he actually ran that team. If he was playing with some more offensively competent bigs, his assists would have been like 13 rather than 9. 9 is still a great number for any game. His lateral quickness was elite (as has been pointed out), and his wingspan is freakishly beautiful. I see stardom in him, which is a very risky thing to say off of just one game, but this game didn't seem like he was just getting lucky, his poise made it believable. Also, in the scouting video, which is a year old, they say his mid range needs work, but he drained a nice mid range in this game and looked confident doing so. Maybe he's been working on his mid range? At 19, I think his upside is way too high to pass on.
I think him and MCW have the best body/athleticism for the NBA, but Schroeder has a better all around game. I want Schroeder the most out of anyone in this class. I think the Jazz would be wise to draft two PG's, possibly even three in this draft. Something like:
14: Schroeder (if his combine and workouts are good, we may need to move up).
21: McCollum (probably won't be there) or Lorenzo Brown
Second ROund: Nate Wolters.
Wolters has a great game, but no athleticism, but he has a good size. It's a complete gamble with him, but one that is definitely worth the risk with our second round pick, or maybe even our GSW pick if there is no McCollum, MCW, Brown, Giannis, or Kabongo available.
The competition among rookie PGs will be intense, and as such we will see their greatest work ethic and potential the quickest.
