Dennis Schroeder-PG Germany about to blow up!

If he falls to us then you have to take him. But isn't his stock climbing? If so there is no way Dallas doesn't pick him up.

there's always a chance a team will reach on him, and there's always a chance his stocks rises like a mother ****er, but right now I think late teens is pretty realistic.

If Schroeder gets picked before 14, that just means someone better got bumped down a spot.

And I really don't see Dallas drafting Schroeder. He would be neither BPA or an immediate impact player.

That's the beauty of Schroeder. He ensures we get both a PG and a BPA.

I like the guy but it's just a flavor of the week. Will be picked up late 1st round, subject to pre-draft workouts and combine.

He wasn't being considered earlier because nobody thought he was going to declare. Also the Hoop Summit was really the only arena where scouts could compare him against potential NBA talent.

I think the "flavor" is here to stay - he can only improve him "stock" from here on in.

He's a head case though, from what I hear... Are we sure we want this guy to pair with the C4

According to DraftExpress he has matured think over the past year:

Schroeder has come a long way in the past year or so, both on and off the court. He appears to have matured with his body language and overall approach to the game, and did an excellent job of leading the World Team by example all week in Portland, which culminated in a big win over the American team on Saturday.

Also if talent is there - you take him on anyway. As KOC used to say "You can't win a Championship with a team full of boy scouts"

I finally got around to watching the Summit game, and I really liked what I saw. He didn't just go out there and have a fluke of a game on scoring, he actually ran that team. If he was playing with some more offensively competent bigs, his assists would have been like 13 rather than 9. 9 is still a great number for any game. His lateral quickness was elite (as has been pointed out), and his wingspan is freakishly beautiful. I see stardom in him, which is a very risky thing to say off of just one game, but this game didn't seem like he was just getting lucky, his poise made it believable. Also, in the scouting video, which is a year old, they say his mid range needs work, but he drained a nice mid range in this game and looked confident doing so. Maybe he's been working on his mid range? At 19, I think his upside is way too high to pass on.

I think him and MCW have the best body/athleticism for the NBA, but Schroeder has a better all around game. I want Schroeder the most out of anyone in this class. I think the Jazz would be wise to draft two PG's, possibly even three in this draft. Something like:

14: Schroeder (if his combine and workouts are good, we may need to move up).
21: McCollum (probably won't be there) or Lorenzo Brown
Second ROund: Nate Wolters.

Wolters has a great game, but no athleticism, but he has a good size. It's a complete gamble with him, but one that is definitely worth the risk with our second round pick, or maybe even our GSW pick if there is no McCollum, MCW, Brown, Giannis, or Kabongo available.

The competition among rookie PGs will be intense, and as such we will see their greatest work ethic and potential the quickest.
