I agree. He is trolling. I know a troll when I see one.

That's funny right there.
To the point though, I'm not trolling. Also, I don't look at stats (unless I'm writing up something about Chucker J. Smiles -- can you blame me?) so I have no idea what his numbers are. Frankly, I don't care either. He's better than Millsap and Jefferson? And people think I'm trolling...
I just don't see it, guys. He has piss poor handle on the ball. He has ZERO post moves. He has no mid-range game. He is a head case. Granted, he can rebound and occasionally has a break-out game, but give me a break, he is not a starter on many teams, and certainly not the Jazz. Like I said, I don't look at stats, I watch the games. He will always be "good", but will never sniff an all-star game.

Not sure that it's an easy fix, but you hit the nail squarely on the head. Even though he looks half asleep all the time, I'm frequently amazed at how quickly he's able to get up and down the court and to the rim. Unfortunately, his feet and hands need some serious work. If he finds a semi-soft touch, he'll be deadly. If he doesn't, you still have a player who can give 12, 10 and 2 with solid man, transition and team defense. What team doesn't need a guy like that?favors' problem recently hasn't been a lack of post moves, trout. it's been that he explodes to the hoop and then blows the layup. but that's an easy fix. the guy has an amare-type ability to explode to the rack, he just has to get better at finishing.

It amazes me how often the announcers comment on how good the defense is playing and that Favors is always on the floor at the time.
On the other hand when the announcers comment on how easy the other team is getting open shots at the rim Favors is almost always on the bench.
I am not a Favors hater nor a Favors apologist. I see him as a young player with tons of potential who sometimes plays great, and sometimes looks lost. Potential is a dangerous word, it gets fans to see things that aren't really so and can get NBA coaches & GMs fired.
Right now in his second season Favors numbers look almost identical to Kwame Brown's numbers in his 2nd season. see here:
If that doesn't make you nervous, then you got more nerve than me. My biggest concern is not his physical skills, its mental. Hopefully he can grow out of those little lapses. But until then, I'm not ready to crown him as the next Jazz
I think a big reason he has struggled at times this year is because he has had some serious bad luck with fouls. Most of it his fault but it also seemed a lot were going against him even it were close. It seemed like the refs were piling on at times. I think that may have been the reason why he has been hesitant at times and hasnt been at his best always. He is trying to figure out what he can and can't do. He will be fine.
I agree. And can you imagine how much Sloan would gush over his defense? A big man covering the P&R like he does. I wonder if Sloan were still coach if he would trade AJ's offense for Favors defense and bring Al off the bench.
