Agree. IMO it would be a mistake to assume Kanter and Favors need to come out and play 2500 minutes in order to maximize their development.
Big Al never really got comfortable in OUR system though. After Dwill and Sloan left the system became "Give the ball to Jefferson in the post and stand around".

Switch "Big Al" to "Kanter" then switch "i" to "all of us". There you go. Yet we failed you. We all did...
I accept being a playoff team like we were the last 5 years as a failure, so we will fail with Big Al anyway, at least we have some chance with Kanter and Favors

How you continuously assume that Kanter will be much better than Big Al without even seeing him set foot in an NBA arena will never cease to surprise me.
i somehow can not stop posting in this thread, it became like my favorite one, but to answer your question quickly, it is not because i believe Kanter will be a superstar, it is because Big Al isn't that amazing not to be surpassed.
After he step foot in NBA, we will see who is gonna be more surprised , you or me

You make it sound like Al is a scrub. He is easily a 17 and 10 player, who I could easily see being a 20 and 10 guy. There aren't many of those. You seriously need to step back, and let Kanter put in the work and prove he can be that good. Not saying he won't, but you make it sound like 17 and 10 guys are dime a dozen.

I don't say he is a scrub, i just say he isn't worth 14-15 million per year at all.
If Kanter will get paid more than he deserves or will suck in defense, i will criticize him too
That's as simple as i say, look who gets paid more or close to Big Al, you will see they are all better than him by margin (except Lewis of course)

Boozer was a 20 10 guy too, and probably thats why he is getting paid so much, but would you like to have him back in our team (lets say if we didnt get Big Al)

Among the top 30 high paid players in this sites, these are the only ones you can find where you can compare to Big Al. And still here only Boozer and Lewis are worse than Big Al when you consider the salary/contribution ratio.
He is the 24th highest paid player in nba, he may be the 24th best big man in the league but not the 24th best player overall.

Nice backtrack. So far in this thread you have been all over the place. Contradicting yourself, talking out of both sides of your mouth, etc. For example, you said 3 posts ago that EVERYBODY in the NBA making comparable money is "better by margin". It was all too easy to put up a simple list of players and their 2011 salaries to show how stupid that statement was. Of course now here you go trying to say that guys like Hamilton and Arenas are more valuable to their teams than Al is to the Jazz. FFS, you are worse than the people that can't spell moron.
