I think KOC was way too eager to put veterans on the squad, and it's going to come back to bite him. Imagine getting a good rotation player like Kawhi Leonard in this draft. They would have been much further ahead next year with extra talent than experiencing the playoffs (a.k.a. confidence-shattering drubbing). Hayward may never recover...heck he'll probably spend all summer in his mom's basement playing video games.
Even though I was high on Leonard, there is a chance he just looks good because he is able to be a 5th option starter and just feed off easy looks. Saying if we drafted him he would be doing the same thing isn't necessarily accurate.
