In many MANY ways Trump has convinced me he's not very intelligent, even if he has a bit of a gift for persuasion.
 
My take on this.

Politicians and political speech writers have been drawing ideas/inspiration from each other for decades. This is no different and is beyond a non issue.

If this was my campaign the most I would have done in this situation would be to release a statement along the lines of " we borrowed inspiration from previous speeches. This is no different than political speeches for the last several decades. But easier to focus on this than focusing on real issues like immigration right?"

When you compare Trump's campaign now, and his strategy in the primary, you'd almost think he's trying to throw the election. But that would just make me a crazy conspiracy theorist.

Measuring intelligence is a difficult subject but I tend to side with Dr. Jones on it. I once had a casual argument with a nut that Sean Hannity is extremely bright even if an idiot. To me it is clear neither of these guys are nobody's fool.

For me, it boils down to intelligence versus wisdom. Trump is extremely intelligent but he acts a fool. So much so that I would even vote Sean Hannity over him, and that guy is almost every bit as disgusting.

I'm not convinced Trump actually is a fool as I've seen him plan this campaign strategy for about a decade now. He is only playing a role. No idiot figures out how to do that with such ease.

I see you used words like drawing ideas/inspiration and borrowed inspiration.

I don't see you using the words copied or plagiarized.

I wouldn't say what trump did is the same as what has been done in the past or it wouldn't be getting talked about.

But it is exactly the same. There are vidoes all over the place of Pres. Obama doing the exact same thing. It's not an issue then either.

The only reason it is being talked about still is to score political points by the.

There are enough people who hate obama that if he were copying speeches then it would be getting talked about and I would hear about it me thinks.

I would like you to show me one of these videos.

Just like Melania did to Michelle.

My whole point is that it was rightfully not an issue then. It is a made up issue by the media and left because it is election season. Yes it is being talked everywhere about but let us not be fooled into another distraction.

Oh no. She graduated from the U of U with honors.

I think it's cool what Trump said to her when she turned in her resignation, though, and I also think it's cool that the Trump campaign did not out her. Obviously they knew from the moment this happened who was responsible yet they chose not to throw her under the bus.
