Wait what?
Why couldn't the Jazz draft him with the 9th pick?
Great post. Although I do agree Jazz reached for an undersized PG. I'm not sure Burke was BPA. But when he slipped a bit, the Jazz got giddy and decided to make their move. In the end if Trey doesn't become a top-15 PG, at least the Jazz seem to have gotten the steal of the draft in Gobert.MCW couldn't even shoot 40% in College - any word on the success rate in NBA of the 21 year old (almost 22) College players with sub 40% shooting in NCAA? Yes, he is tearing it up now, but he was not exactly a slam dunk selection. Burke is a year younger and outplayed him in NCAA by quite a wide margin. Without crystal ball, this one would be pretty hard to predict on the draft night, so don't make it sound so obvious - it was not.
