Do we finally have an alpha dog?

Who is alpha dog on the Jazz?

I don't dispute typical group dynamics and the role of an alpha male, I just dispute that it's inevitable.

Plus...I'm one of the 1% of men who can admit I'm not an alpha male and who don't enjoy some **** hole who thinks for some reason that I should be submissive to him. When I ask the question what is there besides alpha dogs (males) I'm serious because there has to be a couple other categories at the least, yet no one ever really mentions them.

Bishes.

Serious though, I think we live in a world built by alpha males and so by virtue of that fact it is assumed that noting can happen unless an alpha male makes it happen. I wholeheartedly disagree. I think alpha males overestimate the necessity of alpha males. Never really enjoyed their company, myself.

I think you're confusing Alpha male with those who want to be Alpha Male. The people that I view as Alpha Males tend to be quite supportive of others and only "regulate" when they absolutely have to.

I see what you're saying. I would not consider myself an alpha-male either, and I don't think an alpha male is inevitable or necessary for a well functioning group, society, organization, team, etc. And while some attributes of the stereotypical alpha male can be detrimental, I think there are multiple types of the alpha male. These are differentiated by their level of respect of others, cooperative ability, communication skills, etc. Some subtypes are far superior to others.

That's just it. I ain't no bish. I've taken alpha males to the mat before. I don't suck no alpha make ****.

I don't know what you call me but I've been the best friend and confidant of guys that could be considered alpha males. They are the center of a social group and I'm not necessarily part of that group but an "adviser" to the group leader. What am I? I've never been a follower. I've never been anyone;'s bitch.

I wouldn't call that guy an Alpha Male. I would call that guy a challenger. Maybe you are an alpha male and you don't realize it. Why else would you have people challenging you?

Lol this is getting trippy because I just finished reading "Brave New World"

Or, if that 8 million a year kid is going to get 12, Trey will be banking!

Yes, this will be Trey's team very soon. Even after our pick as well. We are putting together a very nice core. A real core, not the silly core4 stuff with four #3 options. But legit options. Burke will make a real nice #2 option, Hayward a great #3. Favors will be a great #4 and Marvin looks like a nice #5. All we need now is that #1 guy...2014 draft.

Sad to say, but everyone has given up on Kanter. When you consider that everyone had him pegged as a potential allstar in the future/borderline #1 option, you get a glimpse of how fickle we here at jazzfanz can be.

Aint giving up on Kanter, just not a whole lot to be excited about or talk about currently.

Would be willing to bet he goes Beast Mode at some point this season and we will all be hyping him again.

Tom Pitt - "That's just one of those things I say sometimes."

20 and 10 vs. the Pacers means nothing. If he were to do something like this in summer league, then he would have proved something. HE DIDN"T EVEN PLAY IN SUMMER LEAGUE!!!! That was the first sign that he was a loser/quitter. He's all like "Look at me! I'm eating squirrel and raccoon soup over at the Malone's!" Meanwhile, players were getting better busting their butt in the summer league, scoring some valuable development time when it mattered the most. If you ask me, saving his best game for one of the supposed "best low post D teams in the NBA" is just selfish. And we all know about the partying. . .
