Ya know... if you could get Murray, Huerter, CARTER, and picks in 28/30 with super swaps in 27/29 and a regular swap in 31. I'd do that. They will fight tooth and nail to keep Murray. They also owe a pick to Atlanta you have to work around. If we go young I wouldn't mind having Harrison Barnes as an adult in the room either.
This is the type of "Blow you away" package I envision we'd be fools to say no to and is a hell of a lot better than what the Warriors can offer.

I think if San Antonio was all in on Lauri a deal would be done by now. I'm guessing they value that 2025 Atlanta pick and wouldn't want to give it up.
Yeah, the Spurs have no reason to be desperate, so that hurts the odds a deal happens. They have to really believe Lauri is a GOAT fit (which they might?) that is too good to let pass them by.

I really dont mind adding Walker to any Lauri trade to ensure the best package. I just dont value Walker all that much and I'm not excited to watch him at all.
I like Walker because he dramatically lowers the number of times during games I'm like "When's the last time we've gotten a stop?"

I just listened to Locke, as I was curious what he was thinking/hearing.

He didn't give any inside information, but basically said a Lauri deal is possible, although he wouldn't want to do it. He floated signing Derozan.

He played the "Big Game Hunting" clip from the Ainge press conference where Ainge basically says that if we can't improve the team by July we are going to pivot and go a different direction.

Certainly it feels like July hit and we've now made the pivot.

The on/off court defensive rating difference was only 3 points per 100, so not that dramatic.

What is meant by super swap? Rights to swap any of the picks we have with theirs?

Warriors have already lost Paul and Klay
and as a team they are going down it's hard to see warriors being playoff team next year
Steph is old and so is Draymond in near future warriors are rebuild mode so no sense to trade Lauri into Warriors.
Problem is that Lauri is really good and in his prime so they suddenly become really good again.
I think Lauri is quite a bit better than klay and Paul combined

3.7, which is the difference between dead last in the league and 23rd.

If you only include pre all-star (i.e. pre all-out tanking), it was 6.7. The difference between dead last in the league and 11th.

Whether you like him or not. his defensive impact is incredible.

I just want the Atlanta picks. If I'm the Jazz I'm just using everyone to extract the Hawks picks from San Antonio.
Ya I like trading with the spurs the most.

According to Bball reference it's 3

I want the Rockets to get crazy and put a huge package together. Jabari Smith is like younger mini Lauri, hopefully. I'd love Sengun, Sheppard, Thompson etc. And they have great picks too. Could easily give us a fantastic package.

SAS can give the best package, IMO, but Houston is probably the second best.
