No it’s not. Does Joker handle or move anywhere near what Filip does, no he doesn’t. If Filip works out in the nba and just gets better every year like Joker he has potential to be better and I’m here for it. Imagine if Joker moved and handled the ball like Filip does.
I mean, Jokic handles the ball at an elite level. He doesnt turn it over and he gets where he wants to on the court. He might not handle it in a flashy way, but his handle is effective. I dont think him handling or moving like Filipowski would benefit him in anyway.

Love you Thee, but turn it down like 8 notches.

Does he handle it anywhere near what Flip does? Are you serious?

And there's way more to basketball skill than just handles and movement.

Haha, I have liked Flip since last year. Not a hater in the least. But this place is wild. By this threads measure we have an All-NBA'r and **** tanking for Flagg, we have a rich mans Flagg now. Print the banners already.

But for reals, I think Filipowski is such a luxury. It means you can go out and get guys like Kuminga and play them effectively. I like the idea of having him and Kessler so you can play different styles/lineups and they can play together.

1000%. "Luxury" is the perfect word. Him having this skillset at that size unlocks so much for everyone else.

All I’m saying is he has that potential he still has to put it all together. It’s exciting damnit!!

It's annoying when you are the leading Stan of a player then someone comes in and out-Stans you in a way that is impossible to contend with.
And this is now how anyone can defeat Cy. He says THT should get 80M… just come in and say he should get eleventy billions.

Sorry to interrupt the important discussion going on but I will gladly take Kuminga if the Warriors insist on keeping Podz.

It has to be one of them included.

Just wait. How many of these big talented playmaking bigs are out there, the ones that are there all play for the best offenses in the league, none of them move as free and easy with the ball in hand. Hell I wish Cody moved this free and easy with the ball.
Cody has had a couple nice crossover moves in SL. He moves very well with the ball but gets moved off his position a little because he's so light. I've been impressed with him. You need to balance yesterday's Flip with the one that looked like a Shaqtin highlight reel for a while. He is more comfortable now but it won't always look as fluid as it did yesterday.

There’s got to be a non-zero chance that Anunoby contract ends up in regret.
For sure. It all comes down to health imo for OG and Lauri. If Lauri extends and plays like 70 games (or would have if we weren't doing tank management) then his value is the same or higher. Ingram has the health issues combined with the "doesn't necessarily play well with others" issues.

I also think teams are somewhat over-reacting. The Clips have been blasted for not retaining PG. Some of the contracts are going to look really good because teams got really conservative. I think next year things may not be as tight.

It’s somewhat unclear if how much of Kuminga’s lack of inclusion comes from the Warriors or Jazz. The thing about Podz and Kuminga is that they are both very young and both already good role players on a winning team. Those guys are going to have more value to teams trying to win something or are further along than the Jazz. I don’t think Kuminga is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I do have the capacity to see why one might think he has lots of potential. If we get him, I’d be ok with that. If we got his weight in picks (in a 3 teamer with TOR for example), I’d also be happy with that.

Podz is going to be extremely tough because he has good role player written all over him and 3 years left on his rookie deal. Of course that guy is going to have more value to a competing team than a tanking team.

Lauri has never played 70 games in his career. I know there is some divine intervention at play, but it’s still not the greatest look. His injury record isn’t as bad as Ingram, but can’t say it’s the greatest either.

If he’s here, our plan would be to be as awful as possible and that worries me somewhat. Lauri plays well with others, the others he will be playing with are going to suck by design so you would have to expect that this has some effect on Lauri’s production. We shouldn’t act surprised if he looks worse when we intentionally put him in basketball hell.

R+E and then trade him later is still in play, but like I said there is some percentage chance that contract becomes iffy and suddenly that falls apart. It’s some small percentage, but a non-zero chance nonetheless and we’d have to consider that possibility.

Only thing that I'm concerned with on Williams is that he has no activity on the boards. I was hoping at Colorado it was just a matter of maybe everyone else was so good at rebounding he didnt have to, but he really just doesnt track the ball at all.
