Sorry to interrupt the important discussion going on but I will gladly take Kuminga if the Warriors insist on keeping Podz.

It has to be one of them included.
I think Kuminga and all of the picks is a possibility. Lauri would anyways cut into his minutes and they got Wiggins who they could theoretically count as a win-now piece in the front court.

I love Podz but I think his ceiling is super high end role player. As lovable as he is, him and Lauri as the post-Curry core is at least lacking "that guy", and at that point I'm not sure they are willing to mortgage more of their future to add to that core.

Only thing that I'm concerned with on Williams is that he has no activity on the boards. I was hoping at Colorado it was just a matter of maybe everyone else was so good at rebounding he didnt have to, but he really just doesnt track the ball at all.
I'm just enjoying him tbh. I wasn't a big fan. He was right there on my big board but had concerns. Happy enough with what I see just to smile and be happy.

Podz has a chance to be something more. He follows that mold of role guy that might have more. At very least he is a good role player that is cheap for the next three years. If GS retains Kuminga it could put them in a salary bind. Podz/Key is kind of a wonky fit for now but figure it out as you go.

I wonder if there is a way to loop in another team we send Sexton or Kessler too and send a win-now piece to GS. I don't want to compromise on the picks or Podz myself IF Lauri is willing to extend and is happy here (as is reported).

The latter idea is interesting. If our FO really wants Podz they could probably work out a 3-way to get some replacement guy sent there....

Siegel is saying that Ainge and Dunleavy are still yammering at each other, but no progress to speak of.

No Podz, no deal.

I already think there's a good chance the Warriors are able to field a competitive team in the post-Curry era if they have Lauri, to where the picks/swaps won't be very good. Them having Podz as well makes it a non-starter.

Oddly enough, Podz efficiency is way worse with Curry on the court (57% TS vs 50% TS), but that appears to be almost entirely due to 3 point shooting variance. I do think he's a very nice player, don't see this future all star hype. I also think he's inherently more valuable to a contending team than a tanking team, so I would understand trying to find a way without him.

I was all for Lauri trade before, but I'm actually thinking now both Flip and Hendricks could be so nice fits with him and possibly quite good in 2-3 season so... I say **** that trade. Try get Hardy fOr one season aboard on the tank playing atrocious defensive lineups for the bench minutes, go 25 wins, get high pick, and build. Trade Kessler if needed, you take him out of the equation, the defensive rotations will be significantly worse for winning ball. Hardy is great, but not a magician.

If Podz ever took a star turn, I would assume it looks like Haliburton, so that's why I did the side by side basic stats. I dont think he is going to make a star turn fwi.

I don’t understand the love or value in Podz. Don’t get me wrong he’s a good player but I highly doubt he ever achieves allstar status. Im no longer interested in trading Lauri. Play him, sexton and the kudos for top 5 lotto odds.
