Donald Fires FBI Director who's investigating Russian Election Hacking

Comedy's testimony was fabricated by these Russophobe racists like the ones here an the Trumpophobe liberals. We saw them do the exact thing to Bush after THEY ALL first supported Iraq II!

This is a nother media witch hunt. Shame shame.
Comedys
Yep, you said it

So the Russophobe racists and Trumpophobe liberals fabricated a Comey testimony where he told the President he was not being investigated? The lied about a testimony in order to hurt their case?

Stellar work Boris...

Use your rational brains for a minute Stoked colton. Why did Comey all the sudden start taking notes when it came to Trump? He never once documented a secret conversation with Obama.

Why did Rod Rosenstein recommend Trump fires Comey? For your information, Rosenstein is held in high regard by BOTH parties, receiving 94-6 vote in the senate for confirmation.

Occam's Razor here. Rosenstein, a well respected man, feared the politicization of the Justice Department by Comey. That is a very very dangerous thing to are way of life I do not think even Ron Mexico could disagree. Rosenstein thought it not right an asked Trump to fire "the nut job".

Young Representative Stefanik caught Comey lying during testimony! He claimed they report counter intelligence to the President an Congress normally every quarter. Then Stefanik was all like, why did you wait 8 months to repot this one? AFTER Trump took office. Use your brains people Comey is trying to use his office for liberals.

Did you actually watch the hearing? You seem to be missing quite a lot of context surrounding the president's communications with Comey. He assured him that he personally wasn't the target of a counterintelligence investigation, at the time, which Comey went through great lengths so make clear was technically true, but could be misleading.

While it's true Trump didn't ask him to kill the Russia investigation at large he confirmed that Trump pressured him to let Flynn go, as well as make a public announcement exonerating Trump. Something Comey felt was a bad idea.

We now know that the president is under a criminal investigation by Mueller for obstruction of justice.

There was also the tidbit that Trump never once had a conversation with Comey about what to do about future attacks by Russia on our democracy. I found that to be pretty remarkable.

The white house has already attempted to spin this as no big deal, but it's pretty obvious to see that Comey's testimony was incredibly damaging to the president.

No, I have not.

Lot's of questions. I do not have a problem with him asking Comey to publicly say he is not under investigation when Comey is telling him he isn't. At the time there was no special prosecutor correct?

The President could be hit for obstruction of justice over the Flynn investigation correct? Seems like he tried to shut an active investigation down. To me this is very damaging.

Why would the President have a plan on Russian attacks with the FBI? Wouldn't that fall under State or DHS? If so then it would be appropriate for the FBI to be excluded.

Use your rational brains for a minute . Why did Comey all the sudden start taking notes when it came to Trump? He never once documented a secret conversation with Obama.

That's actually really easy. The previous presidents followed protocol, and didn't put him in an awkward position. Donny on the other hand did. Which, and I'll use the proper word here, intimidated Comey into a bad situation.

Why did Rod Rosenstein recommend Trump fires Comey? For your information, Rosenstein is held in high regard by BOTH parties, receiving 94-6 vote in the senate for confirmation.

Let's say you're Donny. Probably not far off anyway. You give a guy a job, and tell him you want a review of Comey. It's public knowledge that Donny doesn't like Comey. Does Rosenstein side with the guy giving him a job, or someone he doesn't really know?

I'm not sure you know what Occam's Razor is. Either that or you're ignoring mountains of different data points to see what you want.

Donny is infamous for not reading his intelligence briefings, or making sure they're as short as possible.

Reading your simpleton writing makes my brain hurt. Nobody liked Comey Obama did not even like Comey his coworkers hated him the Dept. of Justice was appalled with him. No common sense will stop your irrelevant Trumpophobe spin.

Okay I take the Obeezy part back. Barrack loved Comey when he an the DOJ colluded to drop investigation into Hillarys email server under OBAMA pressure. Comey even got caught lying under oath about it to protect those liberal cretins.

Not only did Obama obstruct justice but he also took part in this security breech by emailing back an forth classified info with Hillary under a SECRET name!

Where are you Trumpophobes outrage?

Is that all you got? Defaming the guy? And then deflecting to someone else?

You poor picked on snowflake.

Comey testified that Trump asked him to minimize the Russian probe, and to stop completely the probe into Flynn. And Trump did that in the context of asking Comey if he wanted to continue on as FBI director. Then, after Comey did not take those steps, he was fired. Now, you can argue that the questions about Comey wanting to continue as FBI director were innocent, and you can argue that that firing was coincidence, but to me it certainly has the sense that Trump fired Comey because he would not scale back those investigations. And if that's not obstruction of justice I don't know what is.

Ouch, what a maroon. Yeah that looks bad to me too. Busted IMO.

I do think based on this information that Trump did this out of ignorance but I dont think that is a good excuse as a President of the United States who has the help of his staff to make good decisions.

I think the whole part where Trump made the other people (Attorney General and White House legal counsel, if I recall correctly) leave the room before talking to Comey all by himself says pretty clearly that Trump was not completely ignorant. But I suppose it's possible.

He answered that clearly in his testimony today. It was a combination of the strangeness and inappropriateness of Trump's request along with his distrust that Trump would tell the truth about the events at points in the future. Regarding Obama--Comey said he only talked to Obama in private twice (if I recall correctly) and unlike with Trump, neither occasion was inappropriate.

Use your brains people Comey is trying to use his office for liberals.

Use YOUR brain for a minute. Comey has no fondness for liberals and in fact (a) might have cost Hillary the election, and (b) said some pretty damaging things about the Obama administration in his testimony today as well.

I believe so. It was an inappropriate request, but not especially damning. And Comey testified that he didn't do it because, among other things, he felt it would have required him to issue a public statement of correction should that situation ever change.

The President could be hit for obstruction of justice over the Flynn investigation correct? Seems like he tried to shut an active investigation down. To me this is very damaging.

That's about the worst thing, yes. Obstruction of justice certainly seems possible. Whether the House/Senate would use it to impeach Trump, probably not unless additional damaging things come out.

Police/law enforcement have to point to the law book to identify the crime they are investigating, to get a warrant or even make a traffic stop. "Obstruction of Justice" in an investigation which has no underlying crime would not be a sustainable legal charge. Law enforcement harassing anyone with legal proceedings without pointing to the crime alleged in the US(or State) code, is itself illegal....

So far, I have not seen evidence of any crime anyone is obstructing justice about. Dutch is right on that.

The United States, and NATO, have broken the START treaty with Russia on leaving Ukraine non-aligned, and Soros was financing agitators to influence Ukrainian elections and get Putin's ally out of office. I believe Putin is a rational actor on the world stage representing Russian interests. I see no reason to think for an instant he would not attempt to win friends in the US government and influence them towards his objectives. He is not an ideological communist but more of a practical man, an operator and manipulator. If what Russia has been doing is anything different, really, from what China or even the North Koreans are doing, I would think THAT strange.

Every high-level official in any way concerned with international relations has got a full calendar, day in and day out, of meetings with people who have their own interests and agendas at heart, and are in every way attempting to influence US policy. I believe that our relations with Britain are by far the most extensive, and the most complicated. I have no doubt that GB has been doing ten times the influence peddling anyone else has done....

collusion, to be a crime, would have to amount to treason, and we have not been prosecuting treason since McCarthy. We are in the global governance epoch already, folks.

And what would be "treason" if deliberate campaigns to eliminate some unwanted element of our outdated Constitution is not.

nah, this is smoke and mirrors folks. Smoke and mirrors. Some people are angry the election did not go their way.

Beyond that, I am concerned that the anti-Russia fear-mongering is part of a general public psy-ops strategy intended to provoke a war.

that's why i keep asking what's the crime?

i see npo crime! and trump has every right to fire anybody in the executive BRANCH

After 911 the FBI became much more involved in counter intelligence ops as well as law enforcement. They are spearheading the Russia inquiry so it would make no sense whatsoever for them to be excluded from what the appropriate response and future preparations should be.

At the very least it very possible, perhaps even likely that Michael Flynn committed a crime. If/when he is charged will you change your opinion?

It absolutely blows my mind, after all the kicking and screaming some people did over Hillary's emails, those same people are just so sure there is absolutely nothing to be concerned about with Trump's Russian connections.

Certi-****ing-fiable.
