That's certainly one of the reasons. But did she lie as much as Trump has been? Not even close in my opinion. Someone said it well, I think in this thread, that Hillary was about 90% truth and 10% lie, but she sold the lie very well as if it were the truth. Trump is basically the reverse: 90% lie and 10% truth. And as a result no one believes him on those rare moments that he does tell the truth. See: story of the boy who cried wolf.
Not sure what you mean by that. I am not "in the tank" for anyone. I have my own opinions, just like you have yours.
If Trump fires Mueller I will be completely beside myself.
If he continues to have Republican support after such a move I will never vote for another Republican again.
I cannot believe how far off the rails you have gone. You're an intelligent guy who has become completely overwhelmed by an unhealthy obsession. Quit following the media so closely, take a walk in the woods(a lot of walks). You'll be amazed at how much better it will make you feel. This might just be the true next great turning point in American history, the moment Trump took over as a true dictator. We'll have to take deep breaths if the racist hatemongers actually feel they have won the country. What we thought could happen when he won may be about to happen at that.
If you're Trump, do you fire Mueller? What choice would you have, of course you would. Backed into a corner, he'll strike first. Fire Mueller and depend on the GOP to repel the Dems, ignore the press, crack down on public demonstration. Just what Putin is himself doing in Russia. It will be loud for awhile, token Republican resistance. But the Republican leadership are traitors to their country and Constitution. Just as Trump is. Goodbye liberal democracy in America. Goodbye the Rule of Law.
Sorry to be negative, just trying to follow the mind of a tyrant and a party that's fine with tyranny, and this feels like the next stage. Long live the Rule of Law. Long live the Resistance!

I'm sure the republicans will be beside themselves if they somehow learn that they might lose your support. You've been so staunch in your advancement of so many of their goals... uh, never mind.If Trump fires Mueller I will be completely beside myself.

If you really are convinced that the Apocalypse is upon us unless you do something then why don't you invest all of this anger and energy into running for office or somehow getting involved in the system, rather than griping on a message board?
No, I didn't say that at all.So your solution is for Red to stop warning us about Trump and run for President, independent of the obvious financial requirements one would need to fulfill? Or of the clearly unacceptable behavior the POTUS has shown?
So basically you're telling others to "shut up unless you run for President?" Am I correct?
No, I didn't say that at all.
Because I long ago discovered that most people are more intelligent than you.Well, I ended my post with a question, an invitation for you to clarify. Why don't you clarify what you meant to say so that others might understand your posts?
Because I long ago discovered that most people are more intelligent than you.

I've voted for a republican for President many times. This year was the first year I voted for a Democrat.
Locally I won't vote for Republicans because I dream of one day having a 2 party system in Utah.
I'm not sure if you could even call the GOP in Utah "Republican." It's more of a Mormon real estate lobbyist sausage fest than anything else.
When you look at the makeup of the legislature, it's pretty astonishing how homogenous it is. 80 percent are white mormon males. In just the House of Reps alone (75 reps), there are only 15 women (20 percent). Of that 20 percent, 10 women are from Salt Lake and 9 are Democrat. The rest of the state contributes 5 women reps. So not only is the legislature male and republican dominated, but you also see a completely disproportionate number are real estate developers who graduated from BYU. Utah State, Weber State, and Utah are underrepresented.
Let's see those studies, you also left out the comparison.
Or are you talking current coverage of Trump? Because that is a meaningless stat, with nothing to compare it to. The reason it is mostly negative is because there is mostly only negative coverage.
I am talking about during the election time when we can compare his coverage to Clinton's coverage.
This is a very good post.
You are correct.
I truly wonder if those accusing Clinton as being "so dishonest" and comparing her to Trump (which isn't an accurate comparison as I will show) are truly letting data guide their opinions? Much like supply-side economics and climate change, it is as if one side has closed their minds to facts after being bombarded for years with a certain narrative.
Although this isn't as comprehensive as what a colleague of mine has, this simple one will suffice:

View attachment 5279View attachment 5280
One can easily see which candidate was more honest.
The most powerful findings are in the following list
Clinton has nearly 4x as many "True" statements as Trump.
- Clinton has 29 "False" statements compared to Trump's 134.
- Trump has 65 "Pants on Fire" statements compared to Clinton's 7.
Furthermore, look at the politfact record of the GOP primary. Trump was clearly the biggest liar, followed by Cruz and Carson (Rubio was fairly honest).

Nothing really stands out for the DNC's candidates:

So I guess the question remains, are we letting data guide our opinions? Those who claim that Clinton was in the same zip code as Trump in terms of lying must be one of those on 5th ave who witness Trump's slaying of innocents and still will vote for him.
Recently, a pro-Trump neighbor talked to me. They said that although they voted for Trump, they would've voted for Sanders had he been the nominee. How is that possible considering that Sander's agenda would've been the opposite of Trump's? So was this neighbor basing his political views on a candidate's views and agenda? Or had his view of Clinton been tainted so badly over her 20+ year career that voting for her was never considered an option?
If Elizabeth Warren runs in 2020, what will her reception be? Especially when you consider her views to be far left of Clinton's?
The far right has always had an affinity for authoritarian rule. It has really manifested itself over the past year.
And it absolutely shows in their policies and legislation. I don't know why the local LDS population not only is okay with this but seems to be very enthusiastic in their support of it.
It really only takes 51 percent of the votes to get over 80% of the representation in the state.
you know nothing about the far right!
