So, no one wants to defend Levin and his blatant lie, which then became the source for Trump's tweets?
Too many facts?
nah, too much twisting in turning in your baseless misrepresentation of what Levin said. Levin reasoned off of statements he had noticed in public sources, mostly from anti-Trumpers, and from his knowledge of what should be public information, and what it would take for the information to get out to the public. He clearly laid out a reasonable series of actions which included Obama's wiretapping requests, and bureacrats clearly operating in a participating, partisan manner.... which if true would be criminal actions.
Levin of course is not a public official with access to non-public information. He laid out a scenario which demands scrutiny, investigation, and if the evidence comes out in investigation, criminal charges.
Levin was ahead of Breitbart on this. Of course Breitbart could only use the "may have" terminology in carrying the issue out on it's news services, showing indeed that they are responsible journalists, seemingly unlike the irresponsible manner in which our captive liberal media "Press" has been reporting stuff as "news" and "fact" before having the evidence.
We still have not seen actual evidence of what Trump has been criticized for. We do have public and factual reports of Obama spending US taxpayer dollars to try to support Netanyahu's opposition in Israel's elections. Call it what you like, that has got to be a crime in Israel, and it ought to be a crime in our own legal system.
but the wiretaps continue
So the left made fun of the right and hurt their little feelings and so they went out and voted for trump according to you.
Point remains the same. According to you the right was manipulated into voting for trump because the left hurt their feelings.
The utter contempt with which privileged Eastern liberals such as myself discuss red-state, gun-country, working-class America as ridiculous and morons and rubes is largely responsible for the upswell of rage and contempt and desire to pull down the temple that we're seeing now.
I've spent a lot of time in gun-country, God-fearing America. There are a hell of a lot of nice people out there, who are doing what everyone else in this world is trying to do: the best they can to get by, and take care of themselves and the people they love. When we deny them their basic humanity and legitimacy of their views, however different they may be than ours, when we mock them at every turn, and treat them with contempt, we do no one any good. Nothing nauseates me more than preaching to the converted. The self-congratulatory tone of the privileged left—just repeating and repeating and repeating the outrages of the opposition—this does not win hearts and minds. It doesn't change anyone's opinions. It only solidifies them, and makes things worse for all of us. We should be breaking bread with each other, and finding common ground whenever possible. I fear that is not at all what we've done.

Sums it up pretty well and I think he is spot on.
The people on the right have called me more names than I would ever call them. A coworker brought me a Michael Savage book called "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder," and it wasn't a joke. This is something I would never do to someone politically different. So I don't buy that one side has been picking on the other while the other side is innocent. Both sides are equally at fault for our current political climate.

Okay, you have a point about the last eight years. Equally may not have been the best word choice. However, I see the left making plenty of harmful comments that directly corresponds to the language they hated for eight years. With all due respect Jazz gal, I don't think so.
Which side has millions of following addicted to hate radio? Which side accused for 8 years, of the president not being a legal citizen? Which side made it a point to be against everything the president was for, even some of their own ideas? Which side spent 30 years trashing the Clintons? Which side made a deal with Russia? Which side prides itself on being stupid? Which side rejects inconvenient facts as "fake news?"
Both sides aren't equally responsible for this. Cmon.

I can't speak for JazzGal, but it isn't the truth that offends me. It's bald face lies. The kind that Trump seems to utter every time he opens his mouth. In this case, it is a lie that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower. And it is a lie that British intelligence spied on Trump for Obama. A lie. And highly offensive to be attacking our best ally, Great Britain, as well as behaving that way at a presser with Merkel. But, rather then just admit he was wrong, Trump is willing to alienate our closest ally in Great Britain. That's not only highly offensive, it demonstrates for all the world to see what a sniveling coward Trump is. What kind of a man does not have the backbone to admit he misspoke, but instead blames our closest ally? The answer is no man at all. A first class coward is what he is.....
"We" do not want globalism?? You're speaking for some, but not for everyone. You and others like you are simply elevating first class ignorance to national policy. Believe it or not, we only have this one planet. At least in terms of global climate change, it would be beneficial to try and act on a level of global cooperation. But no, people like yourself worship at the alter of blind ignorance.
