Your opinion doesn't matter if you're not a feminist and SJW. Just so you know.
SJW?

Hey Hants,
No trolling or hate here, I promise. Would you mind giving me your definition of feminism, please? I'm curious.
I think everyone seems to want to do right by us (women) in this discussion... just like anything else, we don't all want the same things. Some of us want to stay home and some want to stay in the workforce, and that's okay. Just don't say we're lazy either way! I'm not offended by Kasich's comment, I think in context 30 years ago there were more women at home, but lets be honest, women get stuff done, so if anything it could have been a compliment!
Feminism is "the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men". We've kind of made it mean different things in the last 20-30 years.
Well that depends. My definition of what I think feminism is, or what the media today reports as feminism?
/I was just making a corny little joke at Dala btw.
what's your definition, dude? What is feminism, for you?
Well, that's certainly worth bankrupting the country over. The old dude supports legalization doe
Right?Well, that's certainly worth bankrupting the country over.
https://nypost.com/2015/08/05/fbi-investigation-of-hillarys-emails-is-criminal-probe/I often wonder about this. This idea is taken as a near article of faith by right wing media. It's stated as if it's inevitable. Near as I can tell, this has been an "any minute now" scenario for nearly two years according to the folks who believe it's going to happen.
What are the odds that this is a real threat? Is there a grand jury empaneled somewhere?
Nice work. Your adjustment to the quote is more offensive than his actual quote. You're talking about how careful he needs to be with words and you apparently don't know what sedentary means. If that's the case, that's a really really sloppy way of describing his 70s campaign. I get that for the sake of parsimony he maybe just mentioned the kitchen line, but you simply have to be a better communicator.
Saying something like "I probably won my campaign thanks to the tons of female volunteers who, unfortunately, tended to live much more sedentary lifestyles back then-- meaning they were able to pour in more volunteer hours than the women of today can."
Statements like that also carries the stigma of how motherhood isn't really a "job" that demands the amount of work and time that it does.
Long story short, Kasich is a governor, and he should be a lot more careful throwing words like that around. If he wants to become president of the US, lazy slip-ups like this simply can't happen. Especially when you're going up against the Putins of the world. Just my opinion.
Thanks for your analysis of something you apparently know almost nothing about.the reason that it's unfortunate is because there were millions of women who wanted nothing to do with being a stay-at-home mom, however the norms of society incapacitated them, and they were never able to pursue their dreams.
Well, that's certainly worth bankrupting the country over.
