Donovan Mitchell Highlight Videos, Spectacular Plays

He’s real good at this love affair thing. He also has a sold out event tonight to benefit kids in the Salt Lake area.

Wait....where’s Simmons?

And as for 50, I wouldn’t put it past him. He seems to play amazing when he has a few days rest. It was a big weekend but he should have had a few days to unwind.

What's crazy is that we found him the year after our "star" left for greener pastures, which I'd argue has never really happened to this franchise before. .... I think that's made him even more endearing
Oh yeah, the story line was like a movie....a too good to be true moment at the exact moment he was needed.

Donovan endeared himself before he was drafted with this interview

Then he threw the fist bump and actually looked happy during his draft interview. Then he went on to post videos of him watching Stockton and Malone throwback games. Then he went to BYU and Utah football and basketball games. Then he dropped 41. Then he did an autograph signing that brought in over 2,500 people.

I could go on, but he’s honestly just been so....perfect honestly. Eventually there will be a bump or two in the road. But what this kid has done and the way he’s went about everything, he hasn’t had one misstep. The best part is, is even if it’s for a lot of PR, I believe every bit of it is sincere. He wants and has went out of his way to make this fan base love him. He didn’t have to. His play is plenty good enough, and his required interviews are plenty good enough that fans would still like him. The going out of his way is what’s caused everyone to be so in love.

I really truly hope that when he signs that max offer the Jazz will give him in a few years and after the thousands of interviews he’ll be doing he can still keep the zest and personality that makes him so infectious and he doesn’t lose himself. I don’t think he will, but you never know. The amount of interviews he’s done in the last week would probably boggle our minds, and yet yesterday he talked to every Utah news station, was the first one up to talk to the media during practice, and took time to take pictures with a couple hundred people last night. He’s special, and in 5 years I hope I can quote this post and nothing has changed.

I agree. It's also really exciting to think that Donovan could easily be with us for the next 9 seasons at least (assuming he gets the 5 year max)

I do think it’s an interesting movie-type storyline, especially when you consider the drama of Crowder and Hayward preceding free agency, then 5 minutes into his “greener pasture” he breaks his leg, taken out by the guy from Boston, and then gets obtained by us. Will be interesting to see how it ends. Hopefully with Hayward on the Pelicans come draft night.

Great post. I agree 100%
I had not watched that video before so thanks for posting. Great kid

The Jazz are in 10th place and getting more and more attention. They need to lengthen this winning streak tonight. If the Jazz can push themselves up into the playoffs they and Donovan are impossible to ignore. I hate Baylee’s but the Jazz and Donovan are being talked about, have no doubt. We have a star, and the future looks brighter today than it ever did with last years team.

Also, rookie rankings

Skip nailed everything there.

And I can almost guarantee we won't see Donovan's dangly on social media or hear about him making fun of the handicapped.

He did, and as much as I hate his takes sometimes you can tell he has at least watched the Jazz a decent amount of times whereas Shannon obviously has not.

I think they take opposing views for the drama. Doubt either watched more than a couple of Jazz games.
