Dumbest: what's the dumbest thing you've ever

Some post said "Joe Ingles is a better dynamic shooter than Gordon Hayward" the year Ingles came to the Jazz.

FTR: I want Bolomboy to make the team because I like to have hope for his kind of player.

I wanted nothing to do with Klay Thompson. Saw him as a CJ Miles type chucker. Not really a Jazz player but probably my worst call.

In fairness, I wanted Kawhi with our #3 so that should make up for it.

I do remember a large group on here saying we couldn't win with a guy Millsap's "size" at the 4. Well look at the NBA now fellas.

That Ty Corbin (okay, a former player at that point - but nobody said it had to be a current player) was the right man for the job of HC.

So you think Sap was better? Remember he had absolutely no outside game and never took a 3-pt shot his rookie season. (Just checked Sap's stats -- he was 2-20 from 3 his first four seasons, and only took three shots from 3 his rookie season: 1-3, 0-4, 0-4, 1-9 were his stats his first four years from 3). Bolomboy has already shown the ability to hit from the outside and actually has a pretty good outside shot. After seeing the games in Las Vegas, you have to attribute his bricks in the Utah league to nervousness.

So...Bolomboy as a rookie is better than Sap as a rookie because he shot 1-5 from 3 in summer league? Brilliant argument (fwiw, Bolomboy's shot is kinda flat, and his elbow sticks WAAAY out).

And yes, Sap was clearly better as a rookie than Bolomboy is right now. Dude averaged 7 & 5, with a healthy number of blocks and steals, off the bench in 18 minutes as a rookie on a WCF team. His summer league numbers were also much better than Bolomboy's.

Just saw this edit. Shortly after Sap's crazy game against Miami in 2010, I went back and looked at the play-by-play in the games where Sap attempted a 3 prior to that season. All but one or two of those were heaves/desperation shots at the end of the game or shot clock.

Just because Bolomboy has a more developed jumper at this stage doesn't mean he's a better overall player. Even if you want to judge based solely on summer league, Millsap is the superior player.

And the backpedal is kinda amusing.

Bolomboy has a 50% chance of being as good or better than Millsap >>> Bolomboy is better as a rookie than Millsap >>> Bolomboy is better in summer league than Millsap >>> Bolomboy has a better jumper as a rookie than Millsap
