I have no dog in this fight but I wanted to point out that this is false.

Seattle jazz fan posted the stats from both players rookie year in SL and they were almost identical.

He omitted Bolomboy's first 3 games and a bunch of other relevant stats (I posted the actual stats in response to his post in that thread).

Time will tell. I don't think it is clear that Sap was better as a rookie. And I'm not saying BB will be better, but he does have some advantages over Sap, in size and leaping ability, and may also be quicker off his feet. We shall see how it turns out. Right now, all either of us have is an opinion.

Almost every time a mass media sports talking head speaks about the Jazz I want to kill them. With the exception of almost four guys nationally, none of those guys know a thing about the Utah Jazz. I get it, I can't tell you a thing about the Washington Wizards or the Orlando Magic, but then I don't get paid to be an NBA commenter. These are the same idiots that year after year have us trading our great young assets to large market teams for junk. Like those rubes in Utah will trade Favors for some white stiff because I need to prod the larger media base in Boston that they might have some hope. "Favors for Olynik might be a good trade, but Boston should try to pry the Golden State first rounder out of them too." Like we are the freakin' Nets.

I mean I want to say that it is just because we haven't been relevant in the playoffs for a while, but they did the same damn thing during the Stockton and Malone days. Lately I have just chalked it up to the fact that 90% of sports reporters and pundits are some of the laziest, most ill prepared idiots in the country.
 
It never fails to amuse me the player comparisons in this and many other threads. Comparing Bolomboy to Millsap is disrespectful to Millsap. This kid hasn't done squat. Summer League means almost zero unless you're desperate to make a roster. Even then, it doesn't necessarily translate into success in the league.

Millsap has been a multiple All Star and has helped lead his team (including Utah) to the playoffs on numerous occasions. He was an elite rebounder in college and very good big so far in the NBA. Almost every single year Millsap has improved a part of his game. In many ways, he could be compared to a poor man's Malone more than being compared to some unproven late 2nd rounder. There is more statistical comparison for Millsap to Malone than Bolomboy to Millsap.

I'm all for loving who we have, but I'm also not going to "over appreciate" who we have. Bolomboy has so much to do before being compared to any current NBA player much less a current NBA All Star and 1st Team All Defense.

You're an idiot. I said that Wilson was ranked as one of the top QB's in football, and at the time, his QBR put him #3 in the country.

I also said that I hoped that he would end up as a top 6 QB in the PAC-12.
