I'm confused.....is Kanter the cheetah?
No, he was supposed to play for Kentucky, but he never actually did.

"Kanter’s work ethic must overcome his modest talent."
Another example of Kanter getting looked down talent wise.
Enes hasn't proven a thing yet, glad to see so many people high on him, but it's just as plain as day.. he needs to prove he can use all of this in the league to be considered one of the best in the business that can "Bang with the old school guys." You talk like Kanter ended the year with averages over 10 and 5.

I was shocked (no pun intended) to see that Kanter ended up 10th in the league in rebounds per 48. While his offensive game needs polish to say the least, to board like that at 19 years of age after not having played games, let alone a whole NBA season (66 games or not) is very impressive, especially when you consider he was surrounded by one or more of Favors, Jefferson or Millsap at the same time.
Kanter can bang.
In this day of age, yeah. I am not going to say that I am hating on Enes, but lets not go as high as saying, "He can bang with the old guys.." You have no evident proof that he can do so.I was shocked (no pun intended) to see that Kanter ended up 10th in the league in rebounds per 48. Kanter is slow and can`t jump. He will always be slow and flat-footed. A league player no doubt, but nothing more than a good role player. His best upside would be a Boozer type, but possibly a better defender, though not by much - which i guess would make him a little better than a good role player.
if there's anything these numbers say, it's that kanter SHOULD be more athletic than he is... in other words, these numbers make him an *overrated* athlete.
going into the draft, his physical tools were one of the main reasons he was being looked at as a probably top 5 pick. look at his nbadraft.net's profile (https://www.nbadraft.net/players/enes-kanter) and you'll see he was rated 8/10 for athleticim, 9/10 for size, 9/10 for strength, 9/10 for potential. that isn't someone who is "underrated"... that's someone who was expected to come into the league and be noticeably more athletic than a large number of his peers. looking at him through that lens and that set of expectations, i think he was OVERRATED based on what we saw in his first 66 pro-level contests.
