If that's the case - it makes the chance of Jazz picking Knight even less likely...

Not saying that it would never end up being the result, but it would be pretty silly to think that the 12th pick would dictate the decision on the 3rd pick.

^ That's kinda what I was saying. Add to that if Jimmer's a 'financial decision' .. then even more so.

Well I kinda look at Jazz's #3 and #12 picks as a combination from KOC's point of view.

For example, if KOC is already thinking about picking Fredette at #12 - that means he's already got an idea of who the #3 would be. Would he pick Knight at #3 and Fredette at #12, knowing that we already have Harris?

Wouldn't it be more likely that KOC's thinking about Kanter at #3 (which implies he's happy with Harris) and then thinking about Fredette at #12 as a back up.

Having said all that - KOC is quoted as saying that he'll simply pick BPA referencing the Michael Jordan situation, which makes my theory above absolutely rubbish.

Knight clearly still has a lot to improve upon before answering the questions about his ability to play the point guard position full time in the NBA, as is evidenced by him being near the bottom of all point guards in our Top-100 rankings in pure point rating and assist to turnover ratio.

From DraftExpress.com https://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Brandon-Knight-5140/#ixzz1NHWvcHLE

Do we really want to draft a point guard that was near the bottom of top 100 rankings in pure point rating?

I saw that too, and was able to look past that initially when I thought he was 18. Now that I know he played most of his season being 19....just tough to justify picking him 3rd.

I've been consistent that Knight isn't worthy of #3. Love the guy and he'll be great, but we have to swing big with the first pick. Irving, Kanter, Williams .. in that order.

I could crush Knight's stats all night long, but too many would be giving me grief and, frankly, it ain't worth it. He'll be a great pcik up for a team and a WORTHY fan fave .. but it shouldn't be for the Jazz.

I agree. BTW here are all the point guards picked top 3 in the last 10 years. The list is small - teams draft big. I think you will all agree Brandon Knight is nowhere near the prospect of any of these players coming out.

Wall (worthy so far)
Rose (worthy)
D.Williams (worthy)
J.Williams (2002, busted)

Meh. The great thing, though, is at #3 we are going to do well as long as we draft BPA. I think Williams just happens to be the BPA at #3, but I'd rather have Irving or Kanter, in that order.

I just really, really hope we don't get to #3, both Irving and Williams is off the board, and we go PG.

Me too. This fear is making me really down on Knight.

At the Start of this thread I voted Knight due to what I knew about the players at the time (I knew pretty much zero on Kanter). I would change that vote now if I could. There is no way that the Jazz should pass on Kanter (or Irving/Williams ether) to take Knight. I think Knight could be a great player but Kanter well be the better player in they both develop the way that they can.

I watched the Winter Park vid, Knight went 12-30 in it and they were blown out. Some will argue he did what he had to, given the final score I'm not sure about that.
