Enes Kanter works out for the Jazz

Back to the thread...
kudos to KOC if this report is true. It shows he's intent on turning over every rock, not just waiting until the end of the season, the combine, etc. Guess players can work out if their college eligibility has been completed.

Looks like are boy has some baggage in the form of his knees. This is from nbadraft.net

[Weaknesses: One of the big concerns scouts have with Kanter is his physical health. He has had a history of knee problems and there are concerns about his knees not checking out 100% when he has NBA physicals … Foot speed is good but not at the level of some of the top inside forces in the NBA … Played one year of high school ball at Stoneridge Prep in Simi Valley, California and was somewhat inconsistent … /COLOR]

I watched the Enes highlights. He looked alright on the offensive end and grabbed some rebounds, but he also appeared to be the biggest guy on the floor (not extremely smooth or athletic). I would like to see his defensive footwork. If he defends like Okur, no thanks. He may just be an early bloomer with a good touch around the basket. The NBA game might eat him alive.

I do agree you take BPA even if he's redundant. The Jazz, however, always draft for positional need, and they take the most offensively accomplished guy at that position.

Bump...

Still too early to tell how good or bad he will be, but it's fun to see where people stood on this guy before they even saw him much.

Double bump

Was looking for something different, but this puppy is a gem.

Utah doesn't need anymore bigs unless there going to trade Millsap for a sg/sf. Thats what the Jazz need to focus on right now. Let Millsap,Favors, and Jefferson grow together and sign Fez for like 2.5 mill for like 3 years. He would be a cheap bench big man. And let them develope into our bigs for the future.

Insightful.

I thought this was a new work out video. I feel like I'm losing something in every second of this off-season as I'm unable to watch how the team is doing right now.

Kanter needs to carry his game to the mid range and 3's. He cannot solely rely on the post game or he will become an just above the average center. I'm extremely and destroyingly curious about his condition and the injuries hopefully nonexisting effect on his game. I assume, he will quit the toughness level a little bit and focus (fogus) on the shooting. He will average 2 or 3 assists a game. His turnovers will be at the same level.

Ramadan still stays off season for the next 2 or 3 years so I'm not worried about his fasting.

I think Hakeem also fasted during the NBA games. It's usually fine though because during the season, Enes can usually eat and drink again after 7PM.

Hakeem fasted, yeah. Enes is in the perfect place to receive tolerance for his worshiping if he fasts. He's a huge guy so he will probably need to wake up in the middle of the night to have his sahur so sleeping times might be a problem. He will be around 25 years old when that kind of situation occurs.

The most striking part is the minutes per game. I mean wow!

Of course this might not mean much for Enes because Hakeem is Hakeem. The best big man ever played the game(at least for me).

Enes is, well, Enes. You know what I mean.
