Yeah, I would legit poop my pants if we hired a duo of Messina/Stockton a la LogGrad.
Even loggrade throws out a dillybar I'd eat once in a while.

Maybe he'd quit. But he also said Corbin was a good coach. So how would he judge himself? It would likely take a change in ownership to get rid of John; the Millers just couldn't bear to do it, no matter how bad his record. Still think that if/when they interview Stockton, they're not doing it for a full-time role. I think they realize Burke struggled and would like John to work with him on a semi-regular basis just as Hornacek did with AK initially. You're probably right that he could have the job as long as he wanted it. But a guy like Stock...if he knew he wasn't doing a good job (and he would know), he'd probably quit. Though I think the chances of getting him to coach at this point in time are slim to none anyway. Bring on Messina.
TyCo was a bad and stupid player when compared with Stockton.Jazz's inexperienced coach did not work out with the current roster. Hell, it was a disaster actually.
About time to bring in an experienced and charismatic coach with strong influence over players.

Stockton was one of the smartest players to ever play the game, and was the best of all time to ever play the position that is referred to as the "coach on the floor" position. Kidd and Jackson are two PG's that were able to translate with zero coaching experience, and they weren't/aren't even half as smart as Stockton. Granted, Kidd and Jackson inherited teams with some gifted players on hand already, but with this draft and the continued development of our current youngs, maybe we could have the players as well.
If the Jazz wanted Stockton, and he accepted, they would be energizing their team and fanbase in a MAJOR way. People would be very forgiving of him and the situation through this rebuilding process. Dude is bigger than Jesus.
As John Stockton doesn't have a professional coaching record, I'm not convinced we can compare the two.
A good reason why you can compare them. Let's say one guy has been programming computers for twenty years
Rs and the other one has never turned a computer on. Could you compare their programming skills?
No, not with the information you just gave.
John Stockton has zero coaching experience. None.
He's also the hometown here…which means that if he does poorly, which is a pretty good chance, we have to fire him. That tarnishes his reputation in Utah.
John Stockton going to coach here with no experience is a lose-lose situation for him, and for the Jazz.
