Based on the way this tournament started, I reset all my favorites, right now I'm neutral, I will give chance every team(ahem except greece) to show me the best football until the group stage is done. Then I choose my team to root for to win it all.

I was wondering the russians because of the 4-1 score of the chzech game, it was quite a surprise for me, also my friends said they played very good and they can be the surprise team of the tourney. So, I watched the tonight's game which is finished 1-1, and I resolved my curiosity, well they're nothing special at all.

Now I am looking forward to see the Neth-Ger game.

It should be a fun game to watch. The Netherlands have enough weapons to not play scared against Germany, and since they lost to Denmark they are almost in a must win situation. They'll be attacking, and Germany will be counter attacking. I have no idea who will win, obviously I want Germany, but regardless it should be a fun game to watch. I think I will be going to a public viewing of the game, and try to soak in the atmosphere.

Also, I hope Robben keeps playing putrid. I would not be happy if he stinks it up against Chelsea only to play well against Germany.

Robben is such a dangerous player, even in his worst match he can change the game just in a minute, so you have to contain him all game long. Unfortunately he's not the only one who can do such things, Germany indeed will have a tough task tonight.
 
Ok Denmark -Portugal about to start. Last 4 times these teams met Denmark won 3 times. My bet is 2-1 Denmark and Portugal wil be out of tourney.

Portugal flopping is getting out of control. Great players but such a floppers...Danes on the other hand in trouble as two of their main wingers got injured and they are down 1-2 with 30 min left...
 
great game and bad results for danes. Everything is going to be even more complicated if netherlands win vs germany... that would leave all 4 teams with 3 pts before last round.

Easily the best game yet. Agreed on floppings of Portugal, I blame referees too. Oh Denmark wasted chances but so did Portugal. I can't say Portugal didn't deserve the win but it hurts a bit that Ronaldo won also tonight.

Yeah in general Portugal created more chances and looked sharper. Interesting situation now with Holland losing, what if they beat Portugal by 1 goal and Danes lose to Germany by 1 goal?? how is tiebreakers then?

Goal differential... and then goals scored. (I think)
 
From UEFA...
If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings:

a) Higher number of points obtained in the matches played between the teams in question;
b) Superior goal difference resulting from the matches played between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal on points);

c) Higher number of goals scored in the matches played between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal on points);

d) If, after having applied criteria a) to c), two teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to c) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the two teams in question to determine the final rankings of the two teams. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria e) to i) apply in the order given;

e) superior goal difference in all group matches;
f) higher number of goals scored in all group matches;
g) position in the UEFA national team coefficient ranking system (see annex I, paragraph
1.2.2);
h) fair play conduct of the teams (final tournament);
i) drawing of lots

In your scenario, if both scores are 1-0(Net-Por:1-0, Ger-Den:1-0), then there will be three teams with 3 points and -1 +/-. So rule "c" aplies and Portugal and Denmark has 3 goals Netherlands has 2 so, Netherlands eliminates. Between Portugal and Denmark, Portugal beats Denmark because of the 3-2 game between them, so Portugal advances. You can aply the rules for the other scores, in this situation I think all three teams still have chance to advance.

All I know is that the Oranges did NOT deserve to win so my congs to Germany. Netherlands looked like they even didn't want to win. Big disappointment for Dutch fans I think.

I think it is ... Now I need to figure out under which scenario will Germany get eliminated. Just so I can stress a little...

If I'm understanding the tie-breakers correctly... If Denmark beats Germany, and Portugal beats the Netherlands... Is Germany out?

They would all have six points. Goal differential between the three teams, at best, for Germany is level. However, Portugal and Denmark would have scored more goals.
