Exum having no place in the rotation and Jazz making playoff push

Routine swing passes aren't a mark of IQ.

I disagree. Well, with a clarification. I remember this play. I remember commenting on it right after it happened. What made it a smart play is the beat that Exum rested before he passed it...a beat that made both his player and JI's player commit more to him. It was a smart play and the kid did it right.

i actually meant the one where he passed it to Ingles in the left corner, he actually missed the shot, not on the one that he made.

Actually it just seems like you have a very irrational hatred for Quin.

Are you simple .....Because I think Gobert makes Snyder look better than he is , I have a irrational hate for the Jazz coach ,I think your either very young or a simple person .I can have my opinions like anyone else here .Get off the personal ,get with debate.

If Dante wants a long successful career he is going to need to learn to shoot it.

Dante is 21 f*#Ken yrs old for f*#k sakes ,he doesn't have to bury 3 pters to justify is talent. His talent is blow bys for RIGHT now .Their would be plenty of teams that would pay Dante top dollar for that ability. Don't kid yourself thinking he'd have no suiters .You same people said the same thing about Gordon Haywood.

K bud, but if Exum has fallen so low that we have to point out that he made a routine swing pass then wow he has fallen even further than I thought.

pay attn to the games ...Exum has been pulled if he doesn't make those routine passes where he has had to stifle is own inclination to take it to the basket.Gets pulled for thinking of scoring his own 2 pts.

Dante looked good last night. Good to see his mental approacg changing. Dont think hes added any actual skills, just looked like hes not holding back. Showing some character too. Only thing that worries me is how much he ends up on the floor after his drives. Hes gonna get hurt again if that continues.

wait... now the Fanboys are blaming this stuff on Rudy?? Gimme a ****ing break.

u guis remember Exum's rookie year.... when he had all those inclinations to get to the basket? The good ol days, amiright?

Do we go back to liking Dante now?

Coming from an Exum believer, I just went back and watched Exum's minutes and I'm not really sure what Lowe is talking about.

Edit: Oh I thought this was notes from Hawks game, nevermind

I like how tleikheen tells everybody to stop making things personal and then proceeds to personally insult everybody that disagrees with him, usually in the same post.

Next level trolling tbh

I'm glad Ex is getting some more time. IT seems pretty clear to me that if he gets more time his confidence (and performance) will continue to increase. He's had 3 good games in his last 5, one where he was just ok, and one that was pretty bad. I'd be fine with that for the next little while. The hope for me was always that he could be ready to really contribute by the playoffs. It's been a strange path, but it seems like he is still on track. Unfortunately when Rodney comes back he'll be back to DNP's. Whenever Exum has had a consistent role he's made incremental strides this season. To me that is encouraging even with the bumps in the road.

I think next season, assuming Hill is back he'll be the backup PG. I imagine that one of the SG's will be gone, Mack will be gone, and Neto will be the third PG.

Exum's defense against the Pelicans was fantastic.

I like that Quin is making Dante earn his minutes. . . and that he's been doing it lately. If Exum can be a legit rotational player, it helps this team. Having bench guys like JJ, Exum, Burks and Jingles is awesome. Wasn't too long ago that the bench was the worst in the league. . . now it's one of the best.

Didn't see the game but his box score stats look impressive as well (5 for 7). That's three pretty strong games in a row. I believe he's turned the corner, that is to say that I always thought it was more of a confidence thing than anything.

He still seems like he's on roller skates at time on defense, but he's playing much better as of late. He's either starting to realize he can play in the NBA or he's getting healthy. Hopefully both.

Today's game was the first I've watched live in a while and Dante looked great, loved watching his aggressiveness with the ball in his hand tonight, his willingness to get into the lane was encouraging.

I had read that historically this is about the time that players really come back from an ACL. That about half way through the first season back is when their play takes off. This could be what we are seeing with Exum. He is doing new things on the court that are just great to see.

Like last night he was passed the ball on the perimeter to the left of the key. He engaged his man 1 on 1 and drove to the right towards the center of the key. Then he made a hard spin back towards the left and had his man beat. But as he came out of the spin he immediately made a bounce pass into the paint that hit Gobert right in his hands. Exum finished with a team high 5 assists and split the PG minutes with Hill.

If this is how Exum plays than I think Mack just lost his spot.
