Exum having no place in the rotation and Jazz making playoff push

I had read that historically this is about the time that players really come back from an ACL. That about half way through the first season back is when their play takes off. This could be what we are seeing with Exum. He is doing new things on the court that are just great to see.

Like last night he was passed the ball on the perimeter to the left of the key. He engaged his man 1 on 1 and drove to the right towards the center of the key. Then he made a hard spin back towards the left and had his man beat. But as he came out of the spin he immediately made a bounce pass into the paint that hit Gobert right in his hands. Exum finished with a team high 5 rebounds and split the PG minutes with Hill.

If this is how Exum plays than I think Mack just lost his spot.

Beautiful play. Reminded me of Tony Parker

I thought this was really impressive as well. Showed Dante's length. Look at the release point of the alley-oop pass to get it over Davis

His recent play has been encouraging, still he's young and he will drop off again in the future but things look a lot better now than they did in early January. He's definitely playing with more confidence, reminds me of the player I used to see when he was playing for the Emu's.

Can't wait to see what they get for trading Mack to the cavs.

I was thinking about this too. Seems obvious trade partner, but Cleveland doesn't really have anything that makes sense... They have like 2019-2020 second round picks but I don't really see why the Jazz would give up the depth of having Mack for that...

One thing to consider that seems crazy but you get home court in the playoffs, you NEVER know what will happen. Jazz are in the business of winning now, not collecting second-rounders.

I was totally joking, because as you pointed out, the Cavs have basically zero assets to give for Mack.
