Spycam1's case:
Down low:
Robinson and Ewing would dominate the likes of Howard and Gasol. Both of my starting bigs have had seasons where they averaged nearly 30 points per game, and season where they averaged 4 blocks per game. Howard and Gasol would greatly struggle to score against my bigs, and while Dwight would do as good of a job as any on the defensive end, can you really imagine Pau guarding Robinson or Ewing? That would be funny. I would exploit that match up time and time again.
3 point shooting:
ECTYA's starting lineup has very little 3 point shooting. Gervin was a career 27% shooter from deep, and Pippen was a 32% shooter. Stockton was good, but other than that, his starting lineup doesn't have good floor spacing, IMO. Where as my team has the greatest 3 point shooter of all time in Ray Allen spreading the floor, along with Vince Carter who averaged over 40% from 3 for two consecutive seasons, and is a career 37% shooter. Not to mention Lebron is a career 33% shooter from deep, which is more than Pippen or Gervin.
Lebron:
If Stockton guards Lebron, then Lebron could simply back him down into the post and score right over the top of him. However, if Pippen guards Lebron, then will Stockton be guarding Vince Carter? Either way, Stockton will be at a HUGE size and athleticism disadvantage. Whatever miss match there is, it would be exploited (along with whoever Pau is guarding).
Overall:
I could go on, but when it comes down to it, I think ECTYA's team would struggle a lot to score on my bigs down low, and doesn't have the 3 point shooting to make up for it. I would also have at least two major mis matches on the offensive end that could be exploited. This is all, of course, concerning the starting 5's, but I feel my bench is better too: Iverson > McGrady and Webber > Love etc. My team is too big and too talented, with too many mismatches in their advantage.
