Wow.... I'll leave it at that.
If you think the best Center in the NBA should average less than 50% from the field and rarely get to the line then I believe you need to take a second look at your opinion.
Does he have the occasional great game... Sure.... But at times it is damaging to the offense. When the guy after 8 years finally realized that passing the ball put of the post can HELP the offense overall I wouldn't come close to calling him the best offensive center in the game.
He probably meant that he believes Al has the best post moves of any center in the NBA.
Spycam beat me to it. I think Big Al's the most offensively dynamic center in the NBA. He can shoot, hit that push shot, hit free throws, and make great post moves.
The downside is that he's a blackhole on offense, limited on BB IQ, and doesn't have the athleticsm...but he's got post moves that very few in the NBA have. A lot of centers would kill for that push shot.
But you're right...he is shooting inefficient right now.
I forgot about Marc Gasol though...he might be better at Al on offense actually.
Bynum and Howard both have the shooting problem...so they're not in the running for best offense
Bargarni really doesn't have a down low game
Hibbert is good...but not quite there yet. Bogut is so injured, can't even remember how he played offensively.
.......and I can't think of any other center that is used on the offensive end as much right now...
