What's new

What is this?

We’re playing defense?
We’re passing the ball?
We’re taking it inside first rather than mindlessly chucking up 3s?
We’re playing with effort?

What happened? Did Alex Jensen do this? Man Q should’ve gotten Covid a long time ago!

This may be a hot take, and I’m obviously not a coach, but I think giving the young players playing time has really helped them improve a lot. Do you think Quin has noticed that too?
I also think it’s made the old guys play hungrier. I haven’t seen this much intensity from our vets in a long time.

McDaniels and Jones… man. The entire DNA of this team would be different. Gobert, McDaniels, and Jones make this team one of the most formidable defensive teams in the league. And it’s not like we would’ve had to give up anything to get them. We could’ve just drafted them. ****!

We Crushed Brooklyn tonight without the two 6th men of the year from last year. It’s interesting how quickly that changed. We went from having 2 reliable guys off the bench to 1 drained player and 1 complete liability, in a blink of an eye.

Honestly, I think we play better with Forrest/Butler than Clarkson. Forrest is a terrific glue guy. Very long, athletic, active on defense, and very instinctive on offense. He’s like a very young Rondo. I’d like to see Butler stop thinking and just play.

Clarkson is a cool cat but unfortunately he’s just the wrong fit right now.

Or they'd be wasting away on the bench from making a mistake in the first minute they were ever on the floor.
Forrest was getting consistent minutes and playing just fine. The issue with the Butler pick is that we already have a loaded backcourt. Competing against Conley/Mitchell/Clarkson/Forrest for minutes is much tougher than competing against the likes of Royce and Jingles. Especially now that Jingles out for the season. Noone’s gonna stand in Jones way.

Ainge came in too late. He's actually got a good record at drafting athletic wings.
