Since the last time the Jazz played the Nuggets in the POs, the Jazz have gotten better defensively and have gotten more versatile. The Nuggets haven't. They lost Jerami Grant, Gary Harris and Mason Plumlee, who all had an impact defensively. They've also lost PJ Dozier (ACL) who was decent defensively. Paul Millsap has been put out to pasture. They've added Jeff Green, Bones Hyland and Aaron Gordon to their rotation. Gordon has a reputation for being a good defender, but for some reason he can't seem to slow down Bogdanovic. Once they put Murray and MPJ back on the floor, those are going to be two more guys who can be attacked.
I actually think the Nuggets should be an easier matchup than the Mavs, tbh. The Mavs are long, they defend and they make 3s pretty well. Replacing Kristaps with Bertans and Dinwiddie looks like it's made them better.
