Flip Saunders is dead

The title of this thread seems way harsh. This isn't Bin Laden we're talking about. Seemed like a pretty good guy, in fact. RIP

Only a few days removed from the owner saying he wouldn't coach this year ... no kidding. RIP average coach but seemed like a decent guy.

I think I want Cunning Linguist to write my eulogy. Better yet, he can conduct funeral services:

Dearly Beloved (or rather), "Hey Everyone, Joseph is dead. Let's get the shoveling done so everyone can go home. Discuss his life if you want, but I'm outta here."

As for Flip, I always thought of him as a very good coach. Not elite, but far above average. IINM, he coached teams to four conference finals, but never won. He'll be missed in Minnesota, having coached during the glory years of Garnett and rebuilding the team post-Love. The TWolves have a bright future and it's been Flip laying the foundation.

Maybe he can be your "Speaker for the Dead". He can just give a straightforward honest look at your life with no sugar coating.

"Joseph is dead. He had some terrible takes on the Jazz that he posted on Jazzfanz all the time. He had some good takes as well that he also posted there. He was a good dad and husband but had the worst gas problem for 250 miles. His body stinks bad right now, so lets keep this brief. Go Jazz."

Sounds like his Drs f'd up. He'd have still been alive without any treatment. He got chemo, which made him so weak that he got pneumonia. Then they did the stem cell treatment, and that didn't work, so they gave him chemo again, just last week -- at least that's what I read on the Wolves Real GM forum. Sad that the cancer Drs are so brainwashed that they won't consider other alternatives.

You're making an awful lot of assumptions here.

Sounds like this is a case for ElRoach0 and his daft nurses.
