Following 2016 potential draftees

Can someone catch me up. Are we focusing on last first round picks for this thread since we will finish with a top 10 best record next season?

Sort of. The bold part is a reach though.

There's probably 6 players in this draft that have separated themselves from the pack, where you'd say 'I like his chances at the lottery if things go smoothly' - and 6 might be pushing it. Cliff Alexander would've been near the top of many of those sort of lists last year, and he ended up undrafted.

I don't think that is a stretch. Only 3 of the top 10 records this last season came from the east. So if we are pushing into the top 7 in the west let's say, then we are pushing into the top 10 in the league most likely. So we end up with a pick next year in the 20-30 range.

We're getting the 29th pick. Not quite good enough yet to catch Golden State, but we'll squash them in the playoffs with our height advantage. And Favors and Gobert don't have to be removed from the game for lack of quickness.

The three power teams next season are the Warriors, Cavs and Jazz.

I love Ingram too. Well, like him... can't love a dukie.

Blakeney is a great talent. Gain some strength and make good shot selection and he's valuable in the late teens.

Here are your Aussies to keep Dante company: Ben Simmons LSU, Jonah Bolden UCLA and Anthony Dmric Boise State.

I have always hated this draft. There are a few great players, but pretty weak overall (always subject to change/surprise of course).

Pretty similar to this past draft.

Nice. He showed well at the hoops summit. They also got former youtube 'mixtape' star Marcus LoVett from the west coast. 2 decent PG prospects of 4 star grade quality that play completely different.

If the Johnnies can land a re-classed Maverick Rowan(wing-shooter) and Georgios Papagiannis that's a monster class for Chris Mullin, they'll have a much better chance at staying relevant. The redstorm cant possibly fizzle out worse than last year, so the bar has been set low. 6'11" recruit from Spain, Yankuba Sima that Louisville wanted and DX has been writing about since 2013 could end up a sleeper, Chris Obekpa is gone so they will need to use him a ton.

Staying??

How about "becoming relevant again."

This thread might make maybe 150 pages maybe from all PGAB post. Jazz now are done with lottery thankful for it and now it isn't even worthy to wish for lottery picks. I don't care who jazz make at pick 20-30 until it gets closer. I just want say my thoughts. Thank you.

Don't pay attention to the haters, PG_AB. You know your stuff. I can't say I'm all that in to looking a year ahead; I guess I was more so the last three years when we had the GS pick, then the #5 and another lottery pick this year. Doubt I'll pay any more attention to this thread until late spring next year. In fact, I'm going to make a bold prediction that Utah won't have a pick next summer; they'll package it with Burke to get a player.

****ers tried to say the same **** about me inflating the 2015 thread, but yall pushed that to 1,000 pages.. not me. I came back just in time to see the overwhelming negativity for Trey Lyles and then the subsequent, synchronized backpedal. You couldn't have scripted it any better IMO.

Who said I was hanging around here to repeat myself anyway?

I wanna see how F/A goes and I'm ghost. Perhaps ill stick around for the SL's, maybe not. I already have strong opinions on many of these players, and have posted them.

If you click thru this thread, am I posting fluff? Was I not the first to mention Skal, or Henry Ellenson, or Jamal Murray??? It's crazy some posters on this board have actually resigned themselves into thinking I dont know what i'm talking about... that's fine. I don't wish to argue. this is something I do for leisure.

I don't see how what I say makes you so mad and like you don't know?? I just say that you will probably be most interested and you like this the most. Please don't be so defensive. i like everyone and don't want to hurt feelings here ok?

If this class is truly weak, could Ray Smith be an outlier?? Arizona's been churning out SF's. Does he have next?? 6'8" near 7' wingspan, he's hyper athletic and always reminded me slightly of DeRozan.

Tore his ACL in early July last year. about a month after the above video dropped, (when his Ranking was at its peak in the top-10). He's returned to the court and looks good, claims hes 100%, definitely a player to keep an eye on.

In his 'first game back' from the injury he threw an alley oop to himself off the backboard, T-mac style.

I like Ray a lot.
