It would be sick if the JAzz could get Isaiah Hartenstein somehow in 2017, born in '98 so he's not eligible this year.
I'd kinda equate it to if they coulda got Zingus in 2014... The frontcourt would be at an advantage basically every game..... Hartenstein is like... a freak of nature.. I've seen him play a handful of full games and he just does these incredibly athletic finishes near the rim, stuff that you wanna rewind and see again, stuff that that will always produce a 'wow' from me.. He makes tough plays look effortless, there's something kinda special about this player..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnfdkQVqqR8 He just won the MVP of this adidas next gen tournament, footage was uploaded yesterday.
DX already has him mocked #7 in 2017 though, will take a great deal of luck.. He's a better prospect than Henry Ellenson, who I've got 5th in this draft currently, he's bigger, more athletic, which is really saying something because Ellenson is remarkably fluid -- Hartenstein is so athletic he can play SF, and that's the big key for Utah..
This video claims he's 7' too.. It's certainly possible, he's at least 6'11" with a 7'3" wingspan, and he's jacked for someone that size/age/skill-level
He's extremely athletic, definetly shows great balance, and feel for how to get buckets, he kind of reminds me of a much bigger/more badass version of Antoine Walker... He's a bit of a black hole, that's not an issue though at his age and talent level.
Hartenstein has the talent and skillset where the Jazz could use him all over the court. You can give him the ball with the shotclock going down, and he can get a good look at the basket, he can shoot, he's phenomenal at driving the ball, He can split minutes between SF and PF -- This is the giant combo forward we've been asking for -- He's got a ton of Killer instinct too, i'm sure of that, he's definitely supremely confident.
