That Sikiam dude plays Baylor on the 23rd. A matchup vs. Baylor big front-line should be interesting to see how legit he is.
Speaking of Baylor their leading scorer, Sophomore, Al Freeman is balling out of his face early on. 47% from 3 on 5.3attempts per game to start. Even though he's an undersized SG, there might be some team willing to take a flier on him, he's tough and almost alittle George Hill-ish.
I'd venture to say your going to be surprised at just how good Siakam looks. Rico Gathers is a beast but Tanveer Bhullar is 7'3" and 335lbs, NMSU has 5 Canadians, 3 players from France, A 6'11 Freshman from Colombia and a 6'3" freshman guard from Mexico.. Will be an interesting front-court matchup for sure, NMSU is a legitimately big college team.
Siakam's certainly underrated in DX's sophomore rankings, at least 30-40 spots too low.. He's almost 22, so he's one of the oldest Sophomores you'll find in the class - born in February 1994, he'd be auto-eligible this year if he were an international player..
It's funny that Vanderbilt just graduated his older brother James last year. I'm pretty sure they didn't recruit Pascal, who's obviously better and bigger (James is 6'7")..
I don't think he's a really elite athlete or anything like that, he's probably not a crazy explosive jumper, he certainly gets off the floor quickly and shows a nose for the ball and covering ground. Even tipping boards/keeping plays alive, he's got a knack for getting his hands on things. I'd guess he's going to measure a 7'3" wingspan, and that he's a legit 6'9" with a 35" vertical. His #'s are pretty close to Michael Beasley's as a freshman though, he's a one man wrecking crew every time I've seen him.
